Michel Colombero, in the small blind, checked the action to Julien Sitbon, in the big blind. Sitbon bet out 1,000 and Colombero made a quick call.
The 5♣ turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Sitbon sized up to 3,000.
Colombero checked 3♣ river. Sitbon fired once last shell for 7,000 and Colombero folded J♥2♥ face up, having missed his flush draw. Sitbon flashed 9♠7♠ for two pair as he raked in the pot.

Those participating in the main event on Days 1a, b and c will play through levels of 30 minutes, while those participating in the turbo flight on Days 1d will play through levels of 15 minutes. Those who advance to Day 2 and Day 3 will benefit from a clock of 35 minutes and 40 minutes respectively. Each Day 1 will conclude when approximately 16.6% of the field remains; all advancing players will be in the money.
