5,500 MAD Main Event
Day 2 Completed
At noon today, 453 players out of a record-breaking field of 2,736 entrants came back on Day 2 of the 2024 Winamax Sismix Main Event, here at the Casino de Marrakech in the beautiful Es Saadi Resort.
They were all in the money, hoping to get closer to the 1,500,000 MAD first-place prize. However, after the first break of the day, half of the field was gone. The tournament continued at this quick pace all day long, but eventually slowed down as the end of the day was approaching. Six all-in and call situations were eventually needed before the elimination of Soliman, who didn't reach the final 24 players.
While all eyes were on Mikael 'Shishi' Berrio (42nd, 30,800 MAD), TV host Erika Moulet (31st, 37,000 MAD), Guillaume Darcourt (31st, 37,000 MAD), or Hadrien 'zChance44' Gallois (27th, 45,000 MAD), Thomas Ristorcelli made his way to Day 3 and ended up as the chip leader with 14,375,000. He is followed by Kasra Rashidi (12,875,000) and Hedi Boussetta (12,850,000), who both have the same stack.

| 9 | Souleiman Ben Sta | France | 5,675,000 | 23 |
| 10 | Hugues Girard | France | 5,450,000 | 22 |
After he found himself with only two blinds left earlier in the tournament, Sacha 'Pyro' Cohen came back from dinner break with a massive lead of 7,000,000. He managed to keep his stack until the end and bagged 7,925,000. Pyro will be one of the players to follow tomorrow, like Matthieu Lamagnere (6,975,000), who has already finished second and third in Winamax Main Events, or Romain Lewis.
Down to less than 700,000 after the dinner break, the last Winamax Team Pro standing doubled up and tripled up in just a few minutes, taking the lead at the time and qualifying for Day 3 with 6,800,000.
Another good story could be Hugues Girard's. Runner-up of the Winamax Poker Tour Grand Final at the beginning of the year, he is still here and will try to claim the title that he missed. He'll be back on Day 2 with 5,450,000 chips.
But the dream might be even bigger for Aurélien 'Guignol' Guiglini. The former Winamax Team Pro is mostly known for being one of Winamax's masterminds until last year. He was behind most of Winamax's poker offerings, such as Expressos and the tournament grid. Now that he has stepped back from this activity, he can play and maybe win as he bagged 5,175,000.
Among the remaining players are also Timothée Rey (4,900,000), Petre Ionescu (4,750,000), Luca Delerm (3,550,000), Didier Mambour (3,500,000) or Paul Beccari (2,375,000). They all secured 45,000 MAD so far.

The tournament resumes at 12:30 p.m. local time tomorrow under the dome next to the swimming pool. Players will return to blinds of 125,000-250,000 with a 250,000 big blind ante and will keep playing until a winner is crowned. This final day will be streamed with a 30-minute delay.
For those who are more into partying, the 'All-Stars' pool party will start at 2 p.m. with all the artists seen during the week. Finally, the 2024 Winamax Sismix will end during the night with the closing party at Theatro.

After a long day, we have now the 24 remaining players of the 2024 Sismix. They are qualified for tomorrow's Day final day.
Stay tuned for chip counts and a recap of the day.
Moments after Dasbourg doubled up against Soliman, those two players moved all-in again. However this time, Soliman on the button had the shortest stack with 875,000.
Soliman: K♦Q♣
Anthony Dasbourg: A♦J♣
There was no surprise in this hand as Dasbourg hit top pair on Q♥7♥A♣9♦3♥. Soliman was eliminated in 25th place for 45,000 MAD.

Ionescu checked at the sight of the 6♣4♦A♥ flop. Lamagnere bet out 300,000 and Ionescu check-raised, moving all in for 1,800,000. Lamagnere snap-called.
Petre Ionescu: 6♥4♥
Matthieu Lamagnere: A♣7♣
The Q♦ turn and 4♠ river improved Ionescu to a full house and he doubled up.

Kasra Rashidi Manesh raised to 650,000 from the button and Luis defended in the big blind.
Luis check-called a bet of 700,000 from Manesh on the 6♠A♠4♣ flop.
The A♥ turn checked through to the 2♥ on the river. Luis bet out 1,300,000 and Manesh went deep into the tank, eventually making the call. Luis tabled 9♥6♥ for a pair of sixes, while Manesh won this pot with 8♦8♥ for a pair of eights.
Luis and Hugues Girard could later be heard discussing that Luis' river stab was in fact for value.
Romain Lewis under the gun opened to 500,000, then Nadine Rohde to his left three-bet all-in for 2,425,000. All the other players folded to Lewis, who called.
Nadine Rohde: A♣8♣
Romain Lewis: A♥J♠
Rohde thought she was out after he dealer fanned a board of 3♦Q♦4♥5♦. But the 8♦ river saved her and she doubled up.
