Day 1d of the CNP Winamax Main Event Expected to Draw a Massive Field

CNP Winamax Main Event
CNP Winamax Main Event

It is shaping up to be a big day in Seville. Casino Admiral is set to host the penultimate starting flight, Day 1d, which is expected to draw the largest field so far.

Action gets underway at 4 p.m. local time, just as it did on Wednesday and Thursday. What continues to change, however, is the size of the field. A total of 123 players have already secured their seats for Saturday's Day 2, and a similar, if not larger, number is expected to join them today, along with those advancing from Saturday morning's turbo Day 1e.

At the top of the leaderboard sits Pablo López, the Day 1b chip leader and the man to watch heading into Saturday's action. His massive stack of 524,000 chips gives him a huge commanding lead in the €550 CNP Winamax Main Event.

Only Ramón Fernández managed to keep pace with him. The Andalusian bagged 513,000 chips, close to 260 big blinds for Day 2. Fabio Costa (344,000) currently sits third, serving as the bridge between the top three and the rest of the contenders, which include Mario Lozada (Day 1a chip leader with 295,000), Tomás Pérez (293,000), William Bortz (283,000), and Antonio Gesto (275,000), among others.

The Winamax WIPs who have taken part in the Main Event so far have not walked away empty handed. On Day 1a, former futsal star Ricardo Braga "Ricardinho" bagged 87,000 chips. Yesterday, MMA fighter César Alonso (139,000) and magician Alberto Montalvo (27,000) also advanced.

Today’s lineup is expected to feature freestyler Daniel Bernal, athletes Ánder Sánchez, Eduardo Riego, and Miguel Illescas, content creators Guanyar and Spursito, as well as professional Magic player Javier Domínguez "Thalai".
