Day 1a Started
Seville has a magic of its own. As of this Wednesday, it also hosts the second edition of the CNP Winamax festival, an event that shattered records across the board last year. The Casino Admiral Sevilla is all set to welcome players for Day 1a of the €550 Main Event, a tournament that drew no fewer than 919 entries in 2025 and is expected to, at the very least, match those impressive numbers this time around.
In last year's edition, it was Portugal’s Andre Cuco who captured the silver clover trophy. Not only that, he also walked away with a hefty €58,100 payday, a figure few €550 buy-in events can boast, at least on Spanish soil.
The CNP Winamax gets underway today with the first of five scheduled starting flights, Day 1a, which kicks off at 4 p.m. local time. This year, organizers have introduced a Day 1c Low Cost flight, featuring a reduced €275 buy-in, with the trade-off being shorter levels, 20 minutes instead of the standard 45, and a starting stack of 25,000 chips instead of the usual 50,000. Day 1e, which will also run in turbo format, will retain the regular buy-in. The remaining starting flights remain unchanged.
| Day | Date | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1a | February 11th | 4 p.m. |
| Day 1b | February 12th | 4 p.m. |
| Day 1c (Low Cost) | February 12th | 8 p.m. |
| Day 1d | February 13th | 4 p.m. |
| Day 1e | February 14th | 11 a.m. |
| Day 2 | February 14th | 5 p.m. |
| Day 3 | February 15th | 12 p.m. |
Players will begin with a starting stack of 50,000 chips, worth 500 big blinds, a depth that allows plenty of room to maneuver during the early stages of play. That is one of the key attractions of the CNP, a standout structure for what is, after all, a modest buy-in event.
Blind levels will increase every 45 minutes on Days 1a, 1b, and 1d, with the exception of the previously mentioned Days 1c and 1e, where levels will move up every 20 minutes. All starting flights will play down to the final minutes of Level 11, at which point the clock will be stopped and the tournament director will announce the last two or three hands of the night.
It is worth noting that the tournament runs in a Stack Choice format, meaning players may register for as many Day 1 flights as they wish and then carry their largest stack forward into Day 2. Registration will remain open through the end of Level 13, the second level scheduled to be played on Day 2.
The live stream of the tournament will begin at around 8 p.m. on Day 2 and can be followed on Winamax’s official channels on YouTube and Twitch.

An early position player opened the action from under the gun and Ricardinho, the former professional futsal player attending as a Winamax WIP, flatted in early position. The big blind also came along.
The flop came 4♦Q♠2♠ and the original raiser continued for 600, receiving the call from both opponents. The K♦ turn brought no further betting. Action slowed again on the K♥ river.
The big blind showed A♠5♥, but UTG revealed Q♦9♠ for top pair, which was good enough to claim the pot after Ricardinho sent his hand into the muck.

With action already underway and more than 12,000 chips in the middle, María López Cubero fired a bet from the hijack for close to the size of the pot on a board of A♦A♠J♦Q♣K♥.
Francisco Martín Garrido, seated in the big blind, went deep into the tank for nearly two minutes before eventually committing a chip to the call.
López tabled 8♣8♠, which was no match for the A♣4♣ of Martín Garrido, who raked in the pot, one of the largest seen so far today.

Mario Lozada opened from under the gun with 4♥4♦ and picked up four callers, including María López Cubero.
The flop came Q♣Q♥4♠ and Lozada continued for 1,200. Only López Cubero made the call. On the 9♠ turn, Lozada sized up to 2,800 and López Cubero called once more.
The 4♣ river completed quads for Lozada, and he fired a third barrel of 12,000. After a brief pause, López Cubero slid in a blue chip to signal the call, only to see the bad news as Lozada tabled four of a kind.
