Lucci Flushes Arvanitis Out on the River

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a board reading {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Christos Arvanitis checked from the small blind. Gary Lucci bet 2,000 from under the gun and Arvanitis check-raised to 6,000. Lucci quickly called.

The turn was the {k-Spades} and Arvanitis bet 10,500. Lucci snap-called.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and Arvanitis checked. Lucci wasted no time and fired out a bet of 50,000. Arvanitis thought for a few seconds and called.

Lucci tabled {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a flush and Arvanitis flashed {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a straight before mucking his cards. Lucci was eliminated in the first few minutes of the day by Arvanitis but re-entered and has now taken a good chunk of his stack back.

Siddiqui's Incorrect Read Sends Him to the Rail

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jean Christophe Ferreira raised to 2,500 from under the gun and got calls from a player in middle position as well as Shaan Siddiqui in the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Siddiqui checked. Ferreira bet 4,500 and the middle-position player folded while Siddiqui called.

The turn was the {9-Clubs}. Siddiqui checked for a second time and Ferreira bet 11,500 this time. Siddiqui paused for a moment and called again. The river was the {6-Spades} and Siddiqui checked once more. Ferreira moved all-in and Siddiqui had a decision to make for his last 35,000 chips. He went into the tank and asked "Why so much?". He eventually called.

Ferreira tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a pair of tens and Siddiqui rapped the table in defeat before mucking his cards and heading to the rail.

Paulin Doubles Through McLaughlin

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop and two checks in front of him, Marc Etienne Mclaughlin bet 3,600. Francois Billiard check-raised to 11,000 and then Pierre Paul Paulin check-raised all-in three-bet jamming for 28,800.

Mclaughlin four-bet shoved over the top and Billard folded.

Paulin: {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Mclaughlin: {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Paulin got caught making a move and needed a lot of help to stay alive. The {q-Diamonds} on the turn didn't change anything but the {9-Clubs} fell on the river giving Paulin a straight to steal the pot.

Pascal Monarque raised to 3,800 from under the gun and action folded around to Thomas Lefort in the big blind. He thought for a moment and opted to defend.

The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} and Lefort check-called a bet of 7,000 from Monarque. The turn was the {3-Spades} and Lefort checked again. Monarque bet 17,000 this time and Lefort called. The river was the {4-Hearts} and Lefort checked for the third and final time. Monarque asked to see how much Lefort had left, which was about 20,000. Eventually Monarque checked back.

Lefort tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a flush and Monarque surrendered. Lefort began the hand with a little less than half of a starting stack but is building it back up.
