The survivors from each starting flight will converge at 5 p.m. local time this afternoon inside Playground Poker Club for Day 2 of the partypoker LIVE Canadian Poker Championships. A total of 419 entries will take a seat but registration remains open for the first three levels.
When play resumes, Day 1b top dog Daren Keyes will have the overall chip lead opening a bag full of 7,183,000 chips. Guillaume Nolet claimed the Day 1a lead and will start Day 2 second in chips with 6,725,000. Daune Fernandez (5,879,000), Sebastien Labbe (5,777,000), and Samuel Robert Phillips (5,450,000) close out the top five.
Ari Engel (5,200,000), partypoker Team Pros Kristen Bicknell (4,491,000) and Natalia Breviglieri 9870,000), Eric Afriat (4,041,000), Mike Leah (3,681,000), Kyle Bowker (3,400,000), and Griffin benger (2,809,000) are just some of the notables still in the hunt.
The total amount of entries currently sits at 789 meaning 211 direct entries to Day 2 will need to be received in order to meet the $2,000,000 guarantee. Registration will remain open until the end of Level 12, approximately 8:15 p.m.
