A dream spot on the final hand before dinner was just what Dustin Melanson needed to setup a deep run here on Day 3.
Melanson opened to 77,000 on the button only to get three-bet by Armand King to 510,000. Melanson quickly announced all-in and King snap-called.

A player in early position raised to 65,000 and got calls from Matthew Wilkins on the button, and both players in the blinds.

Action folded to Patrick Braga in the cutoff and he made it 70,000 to go. Mingzhe Zhang was on the button and shoved for his last 255,000. Braga tanked for a few seconds and eventually called.

We got to the table as Carlos Gerones put in a three-bet to 365,000 from the small blind following an open from Kevin Rivest on the button. Rivest called.
The flop came and Gerones decide to check. Rivest wasted no time and bet 290,000. Gerones thought for a full minute before deciding to check-raise to 1,100,000. Rivest thought for a few seconds but eventually folded.
Gerones has now extended his lead to 4.8 million in chips, more than double the stack he started with today.
Noeung Troeung opened to 54,000 and called a three-bet jam from Sammy Chao for 366,000.

Tam Ho jammed his last 183,000 chips in the middle from the hijack and Matthew Paplyk was in the big blind with a mountain of chips. He thought about it briefly and eventually called.

and Ho remained ahead with queen-high. The turn was the 
to give Paplyk a straight draw. He stood up, looked at the board and said "Too many outs." The river was the 
and Paplyk said "Nope" as he paired his eight and raked in the pot while Ho hit the rail. "You running so good" said Ho on his way out.
Paplyk now sits on a monstrous stack, double the average at the moment.
