Douglas James had two eliminations to his name, but couldn't dodge a flush draw with another big hand. James had aces and got all in on the flop against Reid Fortin. Fortin has ![]()
and turned a flush which sent James quickly out of his chair. He took one step toward the rail, then looked back for a moment. It seemed he could barely believe what happened but he quietly accepted his fate and took 17th place.
Fortin is now the chip leader by more than 1-million.

Marc-Olivier Carpentier-Perrault was the benefactor of short stacks shoving into his big hands. First, Franco A shoved and Carpentier-Perrault called with ace-queen. He was head of Franco A and eliminated him.
Shortly after, Chris Arvanitis shoved from the button with ace-four and Carpentier-Perrault had kings in the big blind. He called, he won, he eliminated another player and stacked 4,000,000.
At the other table Walter Asatoorian shoved king-jack and ran into the pocket aces of Jiachen Gong. He couldn't catch up and was eliminated in 13th place.
