The Quantum Tournament, which started back on August 17 is getting ready to play its eighth of ten starting flights. This is the biggest starting flight buy-in for the Quantum at $550. The bigger buy-in means a bigger percentage of the field will make Day 2. Twenty percent of the field will advance and each advancing player will take $400 for their effort.
The levels start at 20 minutes until level ten. Then go to 30 minutes from 11 to 20. The remaining levels are 40 minutes until the tournament is heads up. Day 2 of the Quantum starts September 13th. [Removed:105] is the man to catch, sporting the biggest Day 2 stack so far at 399,100. Players can also direct buy-in to Day 2 for $2,200 and start with 150,000 chips.

In the early levels of the $550 Quantum Day 1i, Toa Bo Liang hit a miracle river to with a huge hand and crack 80,000 before the first break.
The action started when a player limped in early position. Senthuran Vijayaratnam raised to 550, Liang made it 1,300 and Shane Flewelling called in position. Francesco Lombardo called on the button, Vijayaratnam reraised to 4,850. Liang called and then Flewelling made it 17,000 to go. The action folded to Vijayaratnam and he folded. Liang called.
The flop came and Liang shoved his remaining chips in the pot. Flewelling called quickly and showed . Liang tabled pocket tens and the players around the table started talking about how the hand played out. Liang was looking like an early bust out, but a ten on the river saved his tournament life and gave him the 80,000 pot. Flewelling was left with 300 and went all in blind the next hand. He was eliminated.

The registration for Day 1i of the Quantum No-Limit Hold em tournament and 31 remaining entrants are playing for seven Day 2 spots.
There are currently 35 total players for this $550 flight. Day 2 of the Quantum is September 13th. There are two more chances to win a spot into Day 2. A $240 Reentry Mega Sattelite tomorrow at 8 p.m. and a final Day 1 flight for $250 on Monday, September 12.
You can also buy directly into Day 2 for $2,200 and start with 150,000 chips, which is just over 60 big blinds when Day 2 starts.
Khaly Dang registered for the $550 Quantum Day 1i flight while she was still in the CPPT $1,650 Day 1a. She bagged the CPPT and was trying to do the same again with the Quantum. Gaetano Di Maria opened to 1,200 and she shoved all in for 13,500. Tao Bo Liang called and Di Maria called.
