Noeung Troeung Takes Gets Value From Andrew Dick

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Andrew Dick has been the most active player recently. On this hand he opened to 11,000 from middle position and Noeung Troeung called behind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Dick bet 16,000. Troeung called. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Dick bet again, this time he made it 14,500. Troeung called.

The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Dick checked. Troeung bet 58,500 and Dick took a few moments before eventually calling. He had two pair with {a-}{5-}, but was second best to the two pair of Troeung {a-}{j-}.

"I knew you had ace jack and I called anyway," Dick said.

"You gotta be better than that," He said to himself as Troeung took down the pot.

Jonathan Bussieres opened to 7,500 and Michael Mellor called on the button. Andrew Dick was in the small blind and sat thinking for almost 40 seconds. He didn't flinch when another player called out to him, asking him about his food order. He reached into his chip stack and pulled out a three-bet of 34,500. Bussieres folded and Mellor was next to act.

Mellor took a moment before deciding to fold and told Dick that he had folded queens.

"Look at the respect I showed you," Mellor said as Dick was collecting the pot.

Before Dick had a chance to muck his hand, Mellor pointed to the two face down cards.

"I showed you respect," implying that Dick should show his hand.

Dick turned over {a-}{k-} and then immediately regretted showing.

"FU@K! I can't believe I showed that hand!" he said, "it just means that I like you."
