Boeree Uses Her One Time

Level 28 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

At the outer feature table, Derric Haynie opened to 2,000,000 in early position. Liv Boeree was next to act and shipped all in for 12,475,000. Chris Moneymaker asked for a count from the big blind but decided to fold. Haynie quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Derric Haynie: KK

Boeree closed her eyes in meditation for the brief moment before the cards were dealt and asked for her one time. The dealer fanned the flop of AQJ and Boeree's eyes opened wide for the ace in the window. The 8 and J runout were clean and Boeree scored a double-up.

Meanwhile on the outer table, Matthias Eibinger was all-in with AJ but was up against the KK of Sirzat Hissou. A king on the flop left Eibinger drawing slim and he was unable to catch up.

Haynie Quadruples Up

Derric Haynie

Matthew Belcher opened to 2,000,000 in the cutoff and Chris Moneymaker tossed in a call on the button. Pablo Melogno slid in calling chips in the small blind before Derric Haynie committed his short stack of less than one big blind.

Haynie was at risk four-way and watched the action check through the 85A flop. All three players checked again after seeing the 10 turn, with no more betting following the A river.

Moneymaker showed 33 to claim the small side pot. Haynie smiled as he tabled 82, good enough to stay alive and quadruple his short stack.

After a couple of preflop raises, Liv Boeree and Matthew Belcher got all of their chips in the middle with Boeree being the player at risk for 22,600,000.

Matthew Belcher: KK

Boeree closed her eyes again and meditated as the dealer spread the A97 flop to give Boeree the lead. The 10, 10 runout was clean and Boeree managed to crack kings for the second time today.

"This is how we do it," Mustapha Kanit started to sing.

"Vamos!" Boeree shouted with a fist pump.

Joonhee Yea

Joonhee Yea opened to 2,400,000 in middle position and Liv Boeree called in the hijack before Michael Addamo three-bet to 8,600,000 in the small blind.

Yea four-bet to 21,600,000. Addamo five-bet jammed and Yea called off for 14,500,000 more. Well, that's after about an eight-minute tank that saw him exhausting his time banks that gave Chris Moneymaker time to use the restroom.

Joonhee Yea: AK All in
Michael Addamo: KK

Yea had run into kings and got little help from the flop of JK6 with a flush draw. The 4 turn was the right color but wrong suit as the 4 bricked off on the river.

Michael Addamo opened to 3,200,000 from under the gun and Yang Wang three-bet shoved all in for 15,800,000 in the cutoff. Ren Lin woke up with a premium in the big blind and reshoved all in, forcing Addamo to the sideline.

Lin held his favorite hand and the flop of A52 left Lin in a dominating position. The 8 and 4 runout was no help to Wang who was eliminated in 21st place.
