Normand Cracks Kings & Queens to Take the Chip Lead

Level 10 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Frederic Normand

Sergei Gurin opened to 60,000 from under the gun before Drew Gonzalez shoved for 440,000 from the hijack. Frederic Normand called from the cutoff and Giovanni Paticchio did the same from the big blind. Gurin then reshoved for 595,000. Normand called, and Paticchio also stuck around.

Paticchio check-called for his last 205,000 after Normand shoved as the covering stack on the 1097 flop.

Sergei Gurin: KKAll in
Giovanni Paticchio: 87All in
Frederic Normand: AK

Some monster hands were tabled alongside the eight-seven offsuit, but Normand had everyone crushed after he flopped the ace-high flush.

The 5 turn gave him the checkmark in the four-way all-in, with the 5 river completing the board.

After a scan around the room, it appears that Normand will be the Day 1d chip leader as just 12 minutes remain on the clock.
