Spinella Makes a Bold Call After Using Five Time Banks

Level 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Phil Laak opened to 90,000 in early position and Giovanni Paticchio called from the next seat before Anthony Spinella three-bet to 380,000 in the small blind. Dejan Kaladjurdjevic then cold four-bet to 670,000 and Laak and Paticchio folded before Spinella went deep in the tank.

Spinella used five time banks before calling to see a flop of 498. Spinella checked and Kaladjurdjevic sized down to 400,000. Spinella check-jammed for around 1,600,000 and Kaladjurdjevic snap-called with more.

Anthony Spinella: JJ All in
Dejan Kaladjurdjevic: AQ

Spinella was in front with jacks but needed to dodge plenty as Kaladjurdjevic picked up a flush draw. The board finished out 82 to earn Spinella a major double.

Laak sat back in disbelief at the action and revealed to PokerNews that he folded pocket nines and would've won it all.

"That was beautiful," he said sarcastically. "If you're a masochist, come play cards."
