A raising war took place at Table 11 between Rodger Johnson in the big blind and Doyle Lee in early position.

On a flop of 47K with around 265,000 already in the middle, Johnson bet 55,000 and Lee raised to 175,000. Johnson came over the top by raising all in for around 550,000 and Lee laid it down.

Sam Abernathy checked the 228 flop from the cutoff, and Kelvin Kerber bet 41,000 on the button. Abernathy called to the A turn, where both players declined to bet.

Another pair of checks followed the 6 river, and Abernathy tabled AJ for two pair with a jack kicker. Kerber could only smile as he flipped over A10, seeing the pot shipped to his right.

Mustapha Kanit opened to 25,000 on the button and Alisson Piekazewicz three-bet to 90,000 in the small blind. Kanit claled.

Piekazewicz bet 50,000 on the flop of 5KJ and Kanit called. Piekazewicz then sized up to 120,000 on the A turn and Kanit again called. Piekazewicz pulled the trigger with a bet of 325,000 on the A river and Kanit called.

Piekazewicz could only show a busted flush draw with 76, while Kanit tabled A10 for trip aces before playfully razzing his Brazilian opponent.

"You have the best offense, we have the best defense. Together, we can win the World Cup!"

Lee Shoves the River

Three-way action to the 356 flop saw Marcelo Aziz lead out for 25,000 from the big blind. Iuri Ribeiro folded in early position, while Wai Kiat Lee made the call in the cutoff.

Aziz fired again on the 4 turn, this time for 45,000. Another call from Lee led to the 7 river, where Aziz slowed down with a check.

Lee moved all in, taking down the pot as Aziz slid his cards to the dealer.

In a heads-up pot between Punnat Punsri and 2023 WSOP Paradise Main Event champion Stanislav Zegal, who are both wearing surgical masks that were ubiquitous during the pandemic, Punsri checked the flop of J86 and Zegal bet 36,000. Punsri called.

Punsri checked again on the Q turn, and Zegal sized up to 95,000. Punsri called. Punsri checked once more on the 9 river, and Zegal put him to the test by betting 240,000. Punsri laid it down.
