Mateos Bluffs It Off
Level 3
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Action folded to Corey Kempson on the button, and he raised to 4,000. Adrian Mateos in the small blind then three-bet to 17,000, which Kempson called once it folded back to him.
The flop came 4♣K♥Q♥ and Kempson called a bet of 19,000 from Mateos.
After the A♦ on the turn, Mateos sized up and bet out 57,000, which Kempson called.
The river was the 7♦, and Mateos moved all in for his stack of 139,000. Kempson sat in the tank, using several time banks, before making the call. Mateos tabled 5♥4♥ for just a pair of fours, and Kempson turned over the winner with A♥2♥ for a pair of aces, taking the pot and eliminating Mateos.
