Rebuilding The Levi

Nicolas Levi
Nicolas Levi
A middle position raise to 1,500 saw Nicolas Levi reraise to 4,100. A quick all-in and call ensued.

Middle Position: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Nicolas Levi: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}

{7-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} was a helpful board for the behatted Frenchman, who now has 27,000.

G-To-Tha-Max

With the board reading {A-Spades} {J-Hearts} {8-Hearts}, Tony G bet 1,500 before Arnaud Mattern made it 5,400 with only about the same behind. Then another player behind made it 10,000 to go before Tony G declared all-in.

Mattern, despite having put half his stack in, looked reluctant to play and after checking and rechecking his cards, folded instead. The reraiser took a couple of minutes as well, before he also folded.

Tony G showed the {A-Hearts} and is up to 42,000 as a result.

It Was the Best of Hands; It Was the Worst of Hands

We picked up the action in a heads-up flop with the board showing {K-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. A player in position had either bet or raised to 6,400 -- more likely a raise considering the size of the pot, but it was unclear as we joined the action. Antonio Esfandiari was in the process of calling, and the dealer placed the {7-Spades} on the turn.

Esfandiari led out with a bet of 6,100, and his opponent quickly called. The last card off was the {5-Spades}, and Esfandiari moved all in for his last 3,150. He was quickly called. The Magician tabled {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}, and he would split the pot with his opponent's {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts}.

Unable to freeroll his way to a double up, Esfandiari is sitting still at about 16,000.

Lieu-king Upwards

With the board reading {7-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}, the pot was three-way between Liz Lieu and two other players. It was checked the last who bet 1,800, Liz Lieu made the call and the other player folded.

The river was the dangerous looking {10-Spades} and Lieu quickly fired out 6,000 getting her opponent to fold.

Treading Lightly Against Fitoussi

A player in early position opened the pot with a raise to 1,200 from early position, and he found action on from Bruno Fitoussi in late position.

The two men check-checked through the turn on a board showing {J-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {4-Clubs}. The river was the {K-Diamonds}, and the raiser checked again. With a sideways glance, Fitoussi put out a little bet of 900. His opponent rocked his head back and forth for about a minute before making the call.

Fitoussi confidently tabled {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds}, but he would find out that it was no good at all. His opponent showed up {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} for top set, dragging the small pot and knocking Fitoussi down to 49,000.

"Maybe I made the wrong bet," chuckled Fitoussi. "Do you still call for 1,000?"
