Kings Go To Waste

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was an open to 350 from a player in late position but when it got to the small blind he queried the fact that chips were in for the big blind but no player was yet seated. The floor was called and it was ruled the dealer had incorrectly put the blinds in from the racked up stack and it was declared a mis-deal. The opener then showed his {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to sympathetic smiles.

The action was resumed with the correct blinds in and, after a raise from early position, the unlucky player with kings made the call. It was four players to a flop of {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} as the king made another appearance. A bet of 500 from the raiser saw him take it down.

This was a rare occurrence of the floor being called in the tournament so far with generally excellent dealers and knowledgeable players helping to keep the action running smoothly and amicably.
