There's Still Time To Get Involved in the Playground Poker Fall Classic

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Looking for your own big time poker experience? The Playground Poker Fall Classic, featuring the World Poker Tour Montreal, runs now through Nov. 27. With events ranging from $150 all the way to $10,400, Playground Poker Club truly is Canada's premier poker destination.

The WPT Montreal kicks off on Nov. 20, featuring three Day 1s with next-day reentry format. Since its inception, the WPT Montreal has been one of the most popular stops on the WPT, featuring record fields and huge prize pools. Opportunities to win your way into Canada’s premier poker tournament are still available through a number of live satellites at the club.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19 there will be THREE satellites. Things will get started at 1 p.m. local time with a $150 reentry satellite with two seats guaranteed, and that will be followed by a $150 turbo reentry satellite at 4 p.m., also with two seats guaranteed. The blockbuster kicks off the same night at 7:30 p.m. — a $385 reentry satellite with 10 seats guaranteed!

There are additional $385 reentry satellites on Thursday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. — perfect for a player who wants to qualify for a second entry in the WPT. In addition to these multi-table satellites, players will have the opportunity throughout the Fall Classic to play in single-table sit-n-gos, and you can inquire at the brush desk for more information.

Visit the Playground Poker Fall Classic mini site for details and to purchase your event tickets online.

The Chattha-ring Classes

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Charles Chattha raised to 20,000 preflop before Patryk Slusarek made it 44,000 behind him. Chattha shoved, Slusarek snap-called. Simple as that.

Chattha: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Slusarek: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board came {7-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Chattha was crippled with just 25,000 left. He was all in with {10-Clubs}{6-Spades} and managed to spike a six against {A-}{9-}. He's still very short though.

Warrington Wins Five-Bet Pot

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ben Warrington
Ben Warrington

Yesterday Adrian Mateos played a five-bet pot where he hit the jackpot. Today it didn't go quite as well. Mateos raised to 16,000 preflop and Warrington made it 44,000 in the big blind. Mateos four-bet to 107,000 and Warrington five-bet to 185,000 which the Spaniard called.

The flop was {2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

"How much do you have left? asked Warrington. Mateos had just under 500,000. Warrington moved in, Mateos folded instantly.

Warrington Unloads the Clip

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ben Warrington raised to 20,000 from the small blind and Tamer Kamel defended in the big blind to see a {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Warrington bet 22,000 and Kamel called to see the {7-Spades} on the turn. This time Warrington bet 47,000 and Kamel made the call once more.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Warrington bet 72,000, Kamel thought for two minutes then made the call and Warrington showed {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Kamel tabled {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and won the pot.
