Pak Gets Hagenbeuk

Level 4 : 100/200, 50 ante

Walter Buss opened and his neighbor Bastian Hagenbeuk three-bet to 1,200 from the cutoff. Small blind Alexey Pak, coming from a win in a Monaco side event for over €30,000, cold four-bet from the big blind to 4,000. The big blind and Buss folded, Hagenbeuk shoved all in for just a little bit more and Pak called.

Alexey Pak: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}
Bastian Hagenbeuk: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

For a second Hagenbeuk must've had all the hope of a double in the world, as the {8-Clubs} was in the window. The {A-Clubs} that followed eliminated dreams of making a comeback for the Dutchman.

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} and by the time the turn was out, Hagenbeuk had already gotten up from the table and wished the table good luck for the remainder of the tournament.

Will the Fourth Time be the Charm for Van den Bijgaart?

Level 4 : 100/200, 50 ante
Joep van den Bijgaart
Joep van den Bijgaart

Joep van den Bijgaart has just been knocked out again, and he immediately re-entered a fourth time. Van den Bijgaart busted twice yesterday, and he's currently the only player in for his fourth bullet.

Van den Bijgaart explained how there was a raise to 400 and the button called, after which the small blind called as well, and he did so from the big blind with {3-}{4-} off suit.

The flop brought out {6-}{3-}{2-} and both blinds checked to the initial raiser who bet 1,200 and one player called after which Van den Bijgaart raised it up to 3,500. Only the initial raiser called and the turn was another {6-}.

Both players checked this time around and the river was a {9-}. Van den Bijgaart moved all in for 6,000 chips and his opponent called after quite some time holding {7-}{7-}. Van den Bijgaart busted and re-entered, and he's now seated at a different table.

Late Discoveries

Level 4 : 100/200, 50 ante

The following players might just be here already for some time, but we just noticed them just now. They're on our radar from now on:

Set over Set and a Straight

Level 4 : 100/200, 50 ante

We just heard about a great hand that was won by Rachid Choukri, and Joep van den Bijgaart was kind enough to share the details with us.

Van den Bijgaart explained how a player raised and got six callers, after which the flop brought {A-}{7-}{6-} with two clubs. All players checked and the turn was a {10-}.

On the turn the player on the button bet 2,000, another player called and Salvatore Bonavena raised to 5,000.

The bettor moved all in, the caller moved all in and Bonavena folded his set of sevens face up. Rachid Choukri was the player in the lead holding {9-}{8-} for a straight and his hand held up on the river against {A-}{A-}.

Kavrakov Eliminates Gessel

Level 4 : 100/200, 50 ante

Erik "popie" van den Berg opened to 550 and Atanas Kavrakov made the call. One more player called before Dutchman Dylan Gessel squeezed to 2,000 from the button. Both blinds and Van den Berg folded, but Kavrakov had bigger plans. The Bulgarian four-bet to 5,000, and called Gessel's shove after the other player folded.

Gessel was the proud owner of {K-}{K-} while Kavrakov had to settle for {A-}{Q-}. An ace on the flop spoiled Gessel's party, and he made his way to the exit.

"Nico, What Are You Doing?"

Level 4 : 100/200, 50 ante
Yann Dion
Yann Dion

Nico Kuan opened to 425 from middle position and action folded to Yann Dion on the button. The Canadian three-bet to 1,300 and both blinds folded. Kuan wasn't scared so easily, and called.

The flop came {3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Kuan check-called a bet of 1,700. Kuan check-called another 3,800 on the {3-Clubs} turn. The {A-Hearts} completed the board and Kuan checked. Dion hesitated for a moment, before checking behind.

Kuan showed the {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Dion mucked.

"Nico, what are you doing?" table mate Bastian Hagenbeuk asked his neighbor with a big smile. Kuan explained his thought process while in the mean time stacking his chips.

Lundmark Rivers Two Pair

Level 4 : 100/200, 50 ante

Kent Lundmark just raised to 400 and Thierry van den Berg called from the button. Robert-Jan Hoogendoorn three-bet to 1,375 and Lundmark made the call. Van den Berg gave up and two players saw a {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop.

Hoogendoorn bet 1,600 on the flop and Lundmark called, after which the turn brought the {5-Spades}.

Hoogendoorn bet 2,350 on the turn and the former EPT Barcelona winner called again. The river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds} and this time Hoogendoorn checked.

Lundmark bet 8,800 and Hoogendoorn quickly called. Lundmark showed {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair and Hoogendoorn threw his cards into the muck.
