Huge Cooler Ends Marsh' Tournament Life, Van den Bijgaart Over 700,000!

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Joep van den Bijgaart
Joep van den Bijgaart

Joep van den Bijgaart opened the hand with a raise from the hijack and Marsh, who had just doubled through Van den Berg, made the call from the big blind.

Marsh checked on a flop of {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Van den Bijgaart bet 7,500. Marsh called.

The {K-Clubs} fell on the turn and Marsh checked again. Van den Bijgaart bet 18,000 and again Marsh called.

The {J-Spades} completed the board and Marsh checked a third time. Van den Bijgaart bet 42,000 and not long after Marsh shoved all in. Van den Bijgaart just about instantly called, though it wasn't with the happiest face in the world.

Van den Bijgaart's face would soon change as Marsh didn't turn over the feared {A-}{4-} or {6-}{4-}, but the lower set that Van den Bijgaart had hoped for with {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Van den Bijgaart showed {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and was pushed the huge pot.

The start of day chip leader is now even richer, Marsh is out.

Double Up for Van Zandbeek

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The board showed {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{A-Hearts} when Rumen Nanev checked to Remco van Zandbeek who bet 17,000. Nanev, who had his opponent covered by a big margin, moved all in and Van Zandbeek went into the tank.

Van Zandbeek had just 23,000 chips left behind, and after a while he decided to commit his last chips.

Nanev showed {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, but that was not enough to get rid of Van Zandbeek who tabled {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Welcome to Coolerville, Population: Frederik Andersson

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Frederik Andersson
Frederik Andersson

We just caught the end of a massive pot that involved Frederik Andersson and Aki Pyysing, as we heard, "All in" and "Call" in rapid succession.

The board showed {8-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} when Andersson shoved on Pyysing, and the latter snap-called tabling {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the nut flush.

Andersson sheepishly showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the second nuts, and he sent over a huge portion of his stack across the table.

Pyysing is now one of the tournament chip leaders.

Marsh Doubles Through "popie"

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Luke Marsh made it 6,500 from the hijack and small blind Erik "popie" van den Berg three-bet to 17,500. Marsh called.

Van den Berg fired three bullets: 14,500 on the {5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, 25,000 on the {6-Spades} turn, and allin for 77,000 effectively on the {A-Spades} river.

Marsh called all three streets with {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}, and beat out Van den Berg's bluff with {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Tiny Little Bets

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Ramin Hajiyev opened for 6,500 from the hijack and Anthony Zinno in the cutoff made the call. Giacomo Fundaro in the small blind three-bet to 21,500 and the big blind and Hajiyev both folded. Zinno called.

Fundaro bet a mere 3,500 on {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, Zinno called. Fundaro bet another 5,500 on the {8-Hearts} turn and this time Zinno folded rather quickly.

Gin For Wilson, Nothing for Post

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Zack Wilson raised to 7,000 from early position and Simon Trumper asked for a count before making the call from the button. Henk Post called from the big blind and the flop brought out {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} on which the action checked to Trumper who bet 15,000.

Post moved all in for 79,000 and Wilson shoved forward 95,000 to put pressure on Trumper.

"Oh boy!" Trumpet said, as he rubbed his face before ultimately folding.

Post: {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Wilson: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

"What a flop!" Trumpet said, as the dealer put the {7-Clubs} and the {K-Spades} on the turn and river. Post hit the rail and Wilson jumped up the counts.

Dennis Lavrijsen Eliminated

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Will Milner open shoved from the hijack and Dennis Lavrijsen on the button called all in. Both blinds folded and Milner and Lavrijsen opened their cards.

Dennis Lavrijsen: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Will Miner: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}

"I owe you one" Miner said, referring to a bad beat he gave Lavrijsen yesterday presumably.

The flop was good for Lavrijsen with {K-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, but the {5-Clubs} on the turn left him drawing dead. The {6-Clubs} on the river was of no importance, Lavrijsen had already gotten up and wished the table good luck.

No Money for Chen

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Andrew Chen
Andrew Chen

Andrew Chen started the day with little chips, and he did not manage to recover to run up a stack. Just now we ran into him and he told how he raised from the cutoff after which Louis Salter moved all in from the big blind.

Chen called all in for 55,000 with {A-}{8-} and Salter's {2-}{2-} held up.

Wheelers Keeps on Rolling

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

After a raise to 7,000 it was Jason Wheeler who three-bet to 16,500 and Diegeo Zelter four-bet all in for 85,000 total.

The action folded back to Wheeler, and he made the call.

Wheeler: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Zelter: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Zelter hit the rail empty-handed, while Wheeler is now third in chips.

Six Levels

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The plan for the day is to play six 90-minute levels, one level more than yesterday. Either that, or down to the moment there are 16 players remaining, whichever comes first. Dinner break after the third level, like yesterday.
