Day 4 of the World Poker Tour Amsterdam Main Event starts at 2pm local time (in about 90 minutes). Still 16 players are in contention for that coveted €215,000 first place prize, including a ticket for the World Poker Tour Championship at seasons ends. The players are all guaranteed €10,200, but the ladder is steep and the rewards for the winner so much higher than any other finishing place. That should make for an entertaining match of poker today; nobody wants to go home now, all of them want to reach the final table.
The plan for today is to play down to a final table of 6. In recent WPT Main Events in Europe, the penultimate day was a short one. With the stacks very deep at the moment, that's not likely to be the case here in Amsterdam. The average stack is 80 big blinds going into Day 4, so expect a long day of poker action in the nations capital.
Chip leader going in is Sweden's Fredrik Andersson, who already had the 'chip leader jacket' after finishing Day 1a on top. Close on his heels are local pro Joep van den Bijgaart and Sorel Mizzi. All three of them bring more than a million chips to the table this afternoon. The likes of WPT Amsterdam High Roller champion Jason Wheeler and MCOP side-event winners Louis Salter and Kees van Brugge are also still in contention. Short stack coming into todays action is Thierry van den Berg, the grinder with maybe the most experience of all 16.
Levels will be once again 90 minutes long, and like all preceding days, PokerNews is the place to be for all the updates you can ask for. All the bust outs, all the double ups, all the suck outs, and all the coolers - you'll read 'em right here. So check back in 90 minutes for continuing updates from the first ever World Poker Tour Main Event in The Netherlands.

The cards are in the air with 21 minutes left on the current level. Kees van Brugge is the only player not present yet, and the remaining other 15 players are battling it out right now.
Kees van Brugge has taken his seat, only missing two hands. Unfortunately for him, one of 'em was his big blind. In that hand Jason Wheeler opened for 18,000 and Thierry van den Berg shoved from the small blind. Wheeler folded.
We picked up the action on the flop with the board showed , as Sandro Pitzanti and Scott Davies checked to Louis Salter.
Salter bet 26,000 and Pitzanti made the call, after which Davies folded.
On the turn the hit and Pitzanti lead out for 50,000 and Salter made the call.
On the river the hit and Pitzanti bet another 90,000.
"Do you have a flush by any chance?" Salter laughed.
Pitzanti smiled and remained silent, and after a while Salter folded.
"Show a bluff," Salter said, after which Pitzanti showed the .

Scott Davies opened the button for 16,000 and small blind Louis Salter folded. Big blind Joep van den Bijgaart glanced over, took a good look how much Davis was playing (starting the hand with about 180,000), and three-bet to 42,000. Davies contemplated his next move, and eventually decided on calling.
The flop came and Van den Bijgaart bet out 26,000. Davies tanked for a moment and called. The fell on the turn and Van den Bijgaart thought about it for a minute before announcing all in. Davies tank-folded and continued with just 113,000.
The next hand Davies shoved all in from the cutoff. Action folded to Farid Yachou who didn't need any time to make up his mind, he called instantly.
Farid Yachou:

The flop came and Davies suddenly had a ton of outs. Davies said "Bink!" mili seconds before the dealer burned and turned the . The completed the board and Davies laughed; "I win, straight! I'm so good at this game!" Yachou wasn't laughing.
