Mizrachi Building Mountains

"Who let Mizrachi play, he's got too many chips," joked Simon Higgins to us on the tournament floor, himself a victim of Mizrachi, losing a flip to bust in 23rd place.

Mizrachi is up to a colossal 380,000 chips now and is going to be a real pain to play again now that he can bully everyone.

After Mario Sanchez Cano raised to 7,000 from early position, Daniel Barriocanal three-bet to 18,700 only to see Mizrachi make it 36,500 from the small blind. Both of the initial raisers folded and Mizrachi continued building mountains of chips.

Chopped Pot!

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Ramsey Ajram can count himself unlucky not to have doubled through Andy Bacon as the level came to an end.

Ajram pushed all-in for 22,000 in early position with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Bacon called with the dominated {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} from the big blind. Both players paired their ace on the {10-Spades}{A-Spades}{K-Hearts} flop, but when the {7-Diamonds} turn was followed by the {7-Spades} river both players had aces and sevens with a king kicker and the pot was chopped.

Chattaway Chipping Up

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
William Chattaway
William Chattaway

On a flop reading {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Stacy Coore bet 12,000 from under the gun and a couple of seats over Chattaway called. The river was another scary card, the {A-Diamonds}, and Stacy bet 17,000. Chattaway pondered all of his options for a while before making what seemed like reluctant call with {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, but it was correct as Stacy mucked.

Higgins Doubles Through Jordon

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Simon Higgins is back past his starting stack after a double through Terry Jordon.

Jordon opened to 6,000 from the button, Higgins three-bet all-in for 25,500 from the small blind, Michael Mizrachi folded his big blind and Jordon called, turning over {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, while Higgins showed {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}. A final board reading {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Higgins double was complete.
