Deep Stacks Lead to Cagey Play

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

With the average stack being 130 big blinds, it's unsurprising that the players are taking very few risks. The majority of pots are being either settled preflop or with a simple continuation bet.

A couple of hands from recently saw Matas Cimbolas raise to 4,500 from middle position but was then unable to pull the trigger when Sam Trickett three-bet to 12,500 from the button.

Another saw a short stacked Joel Ettedgi move all-in for 16,000 from under the gun but find no callers.

A Trio of Casualties

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Tamer Kamel, Daniel Merrilees, and Sergio Aido have bust from the high roller, leaving the waters less shark infested.

Sly Shoves on Ung

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Senh Ung started a preflop raising war by making it 3,600 to go from the cutoff and Chris Sly responded with a 8,400 three-bet from the button. With the blinds out of the way, Ung four-bet to 19,600 leaving himself 32,000 behind. Sly put Ung to the test for all of those remaining chips by five betting all-in, but Ung smelled a rat and folded, leaving Sly to climb towards 100,000 chips.

Kellett Loses 100,000 Flip

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We caught Richard Kellett at the cash desk buying into the Main Event having bust from the High Roller. Kellett informed us that he'd opened with {A-}{K-}, Billy Chattaway called and Mian Wei squeezed. With the action back on Kellett, he moved all-in and only Wei called, doing so with {Q-}{Q-}.

The ladies held and Kellett crashed out.
