Boyaciyan On the Rise

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
David Boyaciyan
David Boyaciyan

David Boyaciyan, Master Classics of Poker winner and two time EPT Prague final tablist, started out with a mere 28,000 in chips today, but now sits on a comfortable 85,000.

Boyaciyan worked his stack up to 56,000, only to lose half of that in the last hand before the first break. The first hand after that same break, Boyaciyan doubled up though. He got it in with pocket aces against Laszlo Bujtas who had pocket eights.

That gave Boyaciyan some wiggling room, and he won some more small pots to get to the point where he's at right now: 70 big blinds.

Will Kollmann Overtake Klinger as the All Time Money leader? (Answer: Probably Not)

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The Austrian All Time Money List top 3 looks like this at the moment:

PositionPlayerLife Time Earnings
1stJosef Klinger$1,759,013
2ndThomas Muehloecker$1,747,400
3rdErich Kollmann$1,682,453

Thomas Muehloecker has been eliminated from the tournament already. The other two are still in though, so the list might change a little the coming days.

Erich Kollmann needs $76,561 to overtake Klinger as the all time money leader. Kollman needs to finish runner up or win the entire thing to make that happen, given that Klinger doesn't cash.

Only problem for Kollmann is that he has 19,000 at the moment, while Klinger has closer to 200,000 in chips.

What Kollmann must been thinking when reading this: "So you're telling me there's a chance!"

Sekularac Eliminated by Lakhov

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Ognjen Sekularac
Ognjen Sekularac

Ognjen Sekularac was sitting a meter away from the table he started out today, eating dinner on his own.

We didn't want to bother him and asked Frederik Jensen what had happened. Jensen told us that Alexander Lakhov had opened the button for 2,500, and Sekularac had shoved for about 30,000 in chips from the small blind. Lakhov had called with {A-Diamonds}{10-} and Sekularac had {7-}{7-}.

What started out as a coin flip, would soon be a situation not so even as Sekularac had just a single out left after the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop. The turn and river didn't bring the remaining seven Sekularac was looking for, and the Serbian player made his way to the exit.

Simunic Doubles Duda

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Antonin Duda
Antonin Duda

We missed the pre flop action, but there was more than enough going on post flop.

On {6-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} Antonin Duda in the small blind and Jens Lakemeier in the big blind had checked. A third player had checked as well, and Josip Simunic bet out 6,900. Rumen Nanev on the button made the call, and now Duda shoved all in for 38,900. Lakemeier and the player in early position folded, Simunic with the decision.

Simunic thought for some time before moving in over the top. Nanev quickly released.

Josip Simunic: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Antonin Duda: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Duda was an almost 70% favorite to win the hand, and succeeded in that goal: {9-Spades} on the turn, {Q-Diamonds} on the river.

Danchev Busts Two

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Danilo Velasevic open shoved his last ten big blinds with {A-Spades}{8-Spades} only to see Brez Michael Lilienthal reshove for about 30,000 in chips. Action folded to Dimitar Danchev who moved in over the top for about 90,000 in chips, the other players folded.

Danilo Velasevic: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}
Brez Michael Lilienthal: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Dimitar Danchev: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The board came {3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades} and both Velasevic and Lilienthal hit the rail.

Holz Gains Lots

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

(It's Chips We're Talking About)

Fedor Holz slouched at the table, staring at his phone while not involved in a hand. He had two massive black 5,000 stacks in front of him, and then some towers of red 1,000 chips as well.

We headed over to his seat and asked him if he had, by any chance, played a big pot to gain so many chips. Holz told us that he had gotten involved in a big pot with Piotr Franczak.

Franczak had opened, Holz had three bet to 7,400, and Franczak had four bet to 15,000. Holz told us he had called.

The flop came {7-}{5-}{2-} rainbow and Franczak had bet 15,000. Holz called, and called the 25,000 bet that followed on the {7-} turn as well.

The river came the {A-} and Holz told us Franczak had checked. Holz then bet just 18,000 and Franczak had folded.

Big pot for Holz without a showdown, the rich get richer.
