Arberd Lalicic Eliminated in 29th Place

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Arberd Lalicic
Arberd Lalicic

Josef Klinger opened from middle position and action folded quickly to Arberd Lalicic in the big blind. Lalicic shoved all in for 120,000 exactly and the decision was back on Klinger.

Austria's all time money leader asked for a count, stared at his stack, cut out 120,000, and said "Ok" before shoving the 120,000 in after about half a minute of thinking.

Arberd Lalicic: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Josef Klinger: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

Lalicic was in trouble and wouldn't catch up: {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Just like that, the tournament is down to 28 players and on the bubble. One more player will go empty handed, the other 28 take home a minimum of €5,480.

Hand for Hand

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

No big show downs, no double ups, so far it's mostly raise and take it. There's a couple of shorties, so we should be seeing some action soon. Bubble time continues.

Karlic Doubles on the Bubble

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Gerald Karlic
Gerald Karlic

We missed the first part of the action before the flop, but imagine it was Gerald Karlic opening under the gun.

What we do know for sure is that Andreas Freund three bet to 21,500 and that action folded back to Karlic who shoved all in for 219,500. After some tanking, Freund called.

Andreas Freund: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Gerald Karlic: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The {8-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Spades} on the flop gave Karlic a flush draw, and he hit that draw with the {Q-Spades} on the turn that gave Freund top set.

The river was a blank that didn't pair the board, and Karlic was secured the double up.

Koutoupas Doubles on the Bubble

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We missed the pre flop action, but David Boyaciyan later told us what had happened. Sotirios Koutoupas opened the button and Dzmitry Urbanovich three bet from the big blind, Koutoupas called.

On the {2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop Urbanovich lead out for 23,500. Koutoupas made the call, and the {8-Clubs} popped up on the turn. Urbanovich now bet out 31,500 and Koutoupas raised it up to 80,500 with a little more than that behind. Urbanovich thought for a bit before shoving all in, Koutoupas instantly called for 167,000 total.

Urbanovich showed his {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and was drawing to just the hearts as Koutoupas showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

The river came the {7-Spades} and Koutoupas doubled. Bubble still ongoing with about ten minutes left in the level.

No Dinner Break Just Yet

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The tournament director has decided to play on, and not stop for the one hour dinner break while the bubble is going on. Blinds: 2,500/5,000, 500 ante.

Klinger Bluffs Big on the Bubble

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Josef Klinger
Josef Klinger

Frederik Jensen opened for 8,500 from middle position and Fedor Holz made the call in the cutoff. Small blind Josef Klinger squeezed to 26,000 and just Jensen made the call, Holz folded.

Klinger bet 30,000 on {Q-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Jensen made the call. Both players checked the {J-Clubs} on the turn, and the {9-Clubs} completed the board.

Klinger thought for a bit, before sliding 130,000 in chips forward. Jensen asked for a count, pondered for a bit and eventually released his hand into the muck.

"Show the bluff!" shouted Jens Lakemeier who had gotten up from a different table to see what was going on. Klinger smashed {4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} on the table and the rail erupted in laughter. "I knew it!" laughed Lakemeier.

Jensen had a small grin on his face and played a bit with his remaining 200,000 in chips.

No Bubble Just Yet

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Erich Kollmann shoved under the gun for just 50,000 and action folded to is neighbor in the big blind. That player, with no id card, was even shorter, but open folded {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Kollmann showed {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

On another table Fedor Holz had a shorty all in with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} against {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. The {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board made it a chop though, so the bubble continues.

Another Double Up

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Jan-Eric Schwippert limped in for 5,000 and Jens Lakemeier followed suit in middle position. Danijel Jovanovic squeezed to 16,000 from the small blind and both Schwippert and Lakemeier called.

Jovanovic continued for 20,000 on {5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Schwippert called. Lakemeier now raised to 55,000 and Jovanovic folded, Schwippert made the call.

Schwippert checked on the {7-Hearts} turn and Lakemeier shoved all in. After just a few seconds of thinking, Schwippert made the call all in for 137,500 total.

Schwippert: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Lakemeier: {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The river came the {9-Spades} and Schwippert doubled up.

Robert Schulz Bubble the partypoker World Poker Tour Vienna

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Robert Schulz was down to his last 23,000 and shoved those chips in from middle position.

Action folded to Pascal Hartmann in the small blind who called. After Josef Klinger folded his big blind, it was time for the showdown.

Pascal Hartmann: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Robert Schulz: {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The flop came {Q-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. The {J-Hearts} on the turn gave Hartmann the straight and just a river ten could save Schulz.

The {Q-Clubs} completed the board and that meant the bubble had burst, Robert Schulz hit the rail in 28th place.

The remaining 27 players all receive a minimum of €5,480.
