It was a last-minute decision of Matas Cimbolas to enter the second of three starting flights in the 2015 partypoker World Poker Tour National London £200 No-Limit Hold'em Accumulator at Aspers Casino. The 2014 WPT Nottingham champion and recent EPT Deauville eighth-place finisher stormed through the field and claimed an astonishing 169,200 in chips. That was good enough to make him the current overall leader.

Kevin Allen was another player to put his fingerprint on Day 1b with 130,200, and Anthony Mitchell's 124,200 eclipsed the 104,000 of Day 1a chip leader Lucio Pacifico

The second flight's field size was slightly lower with 177 entries, but it did increase the total number of entries to 370. Of those, 83 players bagged up chips at the end of Day 1b.

James Dempsey was among the notables to hit the rail today, but he still has the chance to play again in the third and final flight that will begin tonight at 8 p.m. UK time. The same goes for Aleksandar Spadijer and defending champion Gabriel Tuna.

WPT Champions Club member Tony Dunst was down to as low as 5,800 at one point today, but he bagged up 74,500. Surinder Sunar added another 47,900 to his stack, with Gareth Smirthwaite being not too far behind on 47,600. James Akenhead busted on Day 1a, but he went on to claim 40,100 in chips for Day 2 from this flight. That may still increase depending on the outcome of Day 1c.
