Michel Anthonioz Bubbles the WPTN Marrakech Main Event

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

From the hijack, Chipleader Alexandre Andre Henri De Zutter open raised for 15,000. On the button, Michel Anthonioz three-bet to 40,000 and the action folded to De Zutter. De Zutter called to see a flop.

The dealer burned and put the {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{J-Clubs} flop out there, prompting a check from De Zutter. Anthonioz shoved all in for 40,000 and De Zutter called.

Before the cards were turned over, the two had to wait for hands on all other tables to finish. Eventually, they were allowed to show.

Michel Anthonioz: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Alexandre Andre Henri De Zutter: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}

Anthonioz was in the lead but De Zutter had some outs. The {Q-Hearts} on the turn was one of the cards he could hit.

The {2-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Anthonioz made his exit from the tournament. The remaining 45 players are in the money!

Small, But Interesting

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Under the gun, Tony Dunst raised to 12,000. Action folded around to Dimitri Sukhorukov in the big blind and he casually called.

Both of them rapidly checked the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop and {J-Spades} turn before Sukhorukov bet 16,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river. Dunst called just as quick as he had checked on previous streets.

Dimitri Sukhorukov showed {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and Dunst quickly rolled over {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the turned straight. Small pot for Dunst.

Small Pot for Sgorrano

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Jerome Sgorrano in the small blind and he limped in. Big blind Eric Sfez checked. The two of them both checked the {2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop and {3-Spades} turn before Sgorrano bet 12,000 on the {J-Clubs} river. Sfez called but mucked as soon as Sgorrano showed him {J-Spades}{10-Hearts} for rivered trips.
