Acting first, Alexandre Andre Henri De Zutter opened for 10,000. Action folded to Jean Michel Ploch in the hijack and he made it 32,000. Back to De Zutter and he called.
Both of them checked on , after which De Zutter took the betting lead. De Zutter fired 21,500 on the turn and 65,000 on the river.
Ploch called both times, but had to muck his upon being shown by De Zutter.
Natalia Breviglieri was short for quite some time and just found her Waterloo in a hand against Dimitri Sukhorukov. The two had tangled before, but this time it was all pre-flop action there was to it.
Action folded to Breviglieri on the button and she moved in for 38,000. Sukhorukov, seated in the small blind, thought about it for a bit before calling. Big blind Tony Dunst folded immediately.
Natalia Breviglieri:
Dimitri Sukhorukov:
What started out as a fair battle, wasn't so even after the flop.
The on the turn gave Breviglieri some outs but the on the river was a blank and Breviglieri made her exit in 57th place.
From early position, Tony Dunst, with a total stack of 40,000, raised to 8,000. Action folded to Mouad Benharmach in the small blind and he pushed all in. Big blind Natalia Breviglieri, also short, folded. Dunst called instantly.
Barny Boatman had a tremendously good start today, tripling his short stack in the first hand. The rest of the day wasn't as prosperous, though. After losing some smaller pot he was reverted back to the role of short stack.
Just now he busted. We missed what happened, but railbird Roberto Romanello (who didn't play because tomorrow it's his birthday and he's spending that with family) told us he had gotten it in with against . An ace on the river eliminated Boatman.
With 62 players remaining (and 45 making the money), it looks like players are already glancing at the clock to see how fast things are going. Play has tightened considerably, not much is happening at the moment.
