Linard and Mamouni Build Stacks

Over on the feature table, Pablo raised from the cutoff and was called by Louis Linard in the big blind. The latter check-called a bet of 30,000 on the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and did so again for 56,000 on the {3-Spades} turn. The {5-Hearts} river was checked and Linard won the pot with the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

On the outer table, Anas Belatik raised to 41,000 from the button and Smain Mamouni called in the big blind. Mamouni check-raised the flop of {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} from 40,000 to 105,000 and Belatik called before Mamouni's bet of 190,000 on the {J-Spades} turn forced a fold.

Soon after, Tsunamy three-bet all in for fewer than 13 big blinds and Mamouni called with the {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Tsunamy had {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and they chopped it up after a board of {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

The first two big pots played over on the feature table were both won by Elizabeth Tedder. Cruz showed {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Tedder had that beat with {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Soon after, a pot of more than 380,000 emerged until the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} river and Tedder bet 135,000 against Louis Linard. The Frenchman folded and Tedder bumped her stack above one million.

Who will win the 2017 PMU.fr WPT DeepStacks Main Event in Marrakech?

The biggest WPT DeepStacks field outside of the United States gathered a total of 433 entries at the stunning Casino de Marrakech and just 16 players remain in contention for the final day of the 2017 PMU.fr WPT DeepStacks Marrakech MAD 13,,200 (€1,200) Main Event.

The lion's share of the MAD 4,949,600 prize pool will be distributed today and all 16 finalists have MAD 52,000 locked up for their efforts, however all eyes are set on the trophy and first-place payout of MAD 1,000,000. Furthermore, the eventual champion will also receive a package worth €2,000 (€1,500 Main Event and €500 in travel expenses) for the WPT DeepStacks Final in Berlin in January 2018, which has a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000.

Leading the field into Day 3 is Smain Mamouni with 2,000,000 followed by fellow Frenchman Louis Linard (1,837,000), and Anas Belatik follows in third place with 1,670,000. The only other chip millionaire is Anthony Cruz 1,189,000, while a dup of PMU.fr qualifiers made it through in Julien Lemonnier (718,000) and Damien Lhommeau (429,000).

Other notables among the last 16 are Elizabeth Tedder, (664,000, Malek Grabsi (500,000), Pedro Cairat (445,000), Casino de Marrakech regular Tsunamy (266,000), Day 1 chip leader Ludovic Moryousef (252,000) and 2016 November Niner Fernando Pons (228,000).

The action will resume at 2 p.m. local time and the last two tables will be live-streamed without hole cards until the unofficial final table, then switches to a security delay of 30 minutes with hole cards displayed until a champion is crowned.
