Gross found himself ahead, and the flop came . The turn did give Fara outs to a straight, but the river was a brick and he was eliminated. Gross chips up to over seven million.
Pauli Ayras held against the of Daniel Smiljkovic. Ayras was all in for approximately 2.5 million and his pocket pair held on the board, narrowly avoiding his opponent's straight outs to double up.
We thought we'd check in on the various Day 1 chip leaders. There are four of them in total - one each from Days 1A, 1B and 1C and the Day 1 Turbo.
Nemeth was the overall chip leader heading into Day 2, but now finds himself the shortest of this mini leaderboard. Ole Schemion was the leader of Day 1B, and also picked up a WPT WOC High Roller title while waiting for Day 2 to start, and is in a good spot for a deep run here today.
