Moolhuizen Done

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Marko Neumann raised to 1,600 from the button, Mateusz Moolhuizen moved all for about 16,000 in the small blind before Atanas Gueorguiev reshoved from the big blind. Neumann looked a bit glum as though a scoop from his ice cream cone had fallen on the floor - he folded.

Moolhuizen: {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Gueorguiev: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board came {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and Gueorguiev doubled up. Moolhuizen had barely 2,000 left and was eliminated soon after.

Von Perger Caught

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Steve Billirakis opened to 1,800, Kayhan Tugrul made it 4,100 a couple of seats behind him and Jamila Von Perger flat-called in the cutoff, Billirakis folded.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Tugrul bet 5,000 which Von Perger called. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Tugrul now chose to check, Von Perger bet 8,000 only for Tugrul to check-raise to 21,500 - Von Perger snap-folded.

When Bluffs Go Wrong

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

It must have looked the perfect moment to make a move. Kayhan Turgal had checked it over to Fedor Holz on a board of {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Holz had him just covered with a stack of around 65,000 and moved all his chips over the line. He knew he would be regretting it as he was instantly called.

Holz had {j-Spades}{7-Clubs} against the flush of Turgal holding {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. The {9-Clubs} was the river card and Holz was suddenly holding just 14,000 chip.

“Welcome to the table.” Turgal said, stacking the chips.

Simon Sunk

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Bassel Moussa opened to 1,800 and got one caller in Alexander Dovzhenko before Andrei Simon squeezed all in for 9,400. Moussa tanked for a couple of minutes before moving all in himself for around 32,000.

Dovzhenko looked interested but balked at the price to call, folding instead.

Moussa: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Simon: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The board came {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Moussa's two pair won easily.

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Michael Mizrachi called an open of 1,300, as did the button and the small blind. Four players saw a flop of {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and everyone checked. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} but no one wanted to take a stab and we saw the river fall {3-Clubs}. Again checked all around. “Jacks are good.” Said Mizrachi to the original raiser who tabled {q-Spades}{10-Spades} to scoop the smallish pot.

Marvin Rettenmaier is at the same table and piped up “I folded a flush. King, three suited.” “Tight.” mocked Mizrachi. “Because of you.” came the riposte from last year’s winner.
