Loeser is Winner

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante
Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

It started innocently enough.

Manig Loeser opened to 400 from the cutoff before Vyacheslav Stoyanov raised to 1,200 from the button. Loeser slipped in a four-bet to 3,500 but the Romanian replied with a five-bet to 8,200. Not to be outdone, Loeser then six-bet to 13,000 with about 21,000 behind.

Stoyanov tanked for a minute then moved all in and Loeser quickly beat him into the pot.

Stoyanov: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Loeser: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

Loeser was the player at risk but the board came {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and he doubled up to around 70,000. Stoyanov dropped to just 20,000 but remained completely expression free.

You Don’t Have to Show

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Karen Karamanov raised pre-flop to 400 and was called from the button by young Austrian pro Fedor Holz. The blinds folded and the two players saw to a flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Karamanov continued with a bet of 600 and was called again. A potential scare card, the {a-Diamonds} was the next out of the deck and it encouraged Karamanov to announce a bet of “Eight hundred.” before throwing out a large denomination chip.

Holz called and while Karamanov was sorting out the change the dealer had passed him, the river was dealt {5-Spades}. Seemingly paying little attention to the last card Karamanov cut out some freshly stacked small chips and bet 2,400. Holz nonchalantly called but he didn’t have to show as Karamanov mucked his cards.

Allera Keeps Her Opponents Guessing

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Florence Allera seems to have a few players on her table slightly confused. It hasn’t been a completely successful strategy but it certainly worked in this hand. Rauf Bikbulatov bet 1,000 from the big blind on a board of {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Allera called from the button.

The turn brought the {k-Clubs}. When Bikbulatov continued the aggression with a bet of 1,360 he was faced with a raise from Allera to 2,800 and he was forced to release his hand.

Carpenter Caught

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

On the turn of a {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts} board, Rami Shouman fired out a sizeable bet of 3,650 and Tom Carpenter made the call to see the {5-Spades} on the river. Shouman now bet 6,500 and Carpenter shrugged and tossed in another call.

Shouman flipped {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a backdoored full house and Carpenter's body sunk back into his seat. If he had been able to, Carpenter's jaw would've dropped several feet like a cartoon.

"King-queen," he sighed to Pokernews.

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Just before the break Koray Aldemir bet 200 on a flop of {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and was raised by American Kelly Kim in position to 600. Aldemir took his time and called the bet. The turn was the {q-Clubs} and when Aldemir checked Kim made it 1,050 to go. The {3-Hearts} on the river and Aldemir checked it over once more to Kim. He wasn’t falling for the bait though and checked behind.

“I have the nuts.” announced Aldemir. Indeed he did, tabling {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}. as Kim gave a little chuckle.

Kim Gets Clubbed

In a three-bet pot, Igor Dorozhkin check-called a bet of 2,150 from Kelly Kim on a {9-Spades}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} board to see the {6-Clubs} on the turn, which both players checked. The {4-Diamonds} river saw Dorozhkin bet 6,500 and Kim began to analyse the possibilities, eventually throwing in the call.

Dorozhkin quickly flipped for {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for the nuts leading to a quick muck from the former November Niner.
