A flip away from exiting the tournament, Alexandr Lahkov has doubled up after his hit on a board against Eros Nastasi's . The Russian is back to his starting stack while Nastasi shouldn't be too worried, he still has 55,000.

Vladimir Serdcev opened for 1,2000, Max Droege called and big stack bully Avci raised, of course, to 3,500. Serdcev folded but Droege elected to call and they saw a flop of . All of the money went in on the flop and Droege could hardly contain his delight when Avci showed against his for a flopped straight. The turn brought a bit of a sweat when the gave Avci outs to a full house, but it was not to be as the final card came the .
Droege was jubilant. He’d grinded it out all day, been there since the first card was dealt, and had to cope with a pretty tough table that was getting progressively tougher. Now he had just doubled up to 110,000. Just reward?
The fabulously named Onder Ozdemirler has just eliminated in particularly cruel fashion, he got his 27,000 all in prelfop with against Jerfi Firatli's and managed to spike a three-outer and still lose.
The board came and Firatli managed to snag the nut flush on the river for a huge pot.

I’m not sure whether the cards the players held were relevant in the hand that just happened on Table 5 as two big stacks tried to out manou. Seyed Ghavam opened for 1,200 and the only caller was Asaf Avci who defended his big blind.
The flop fell . Both players checked. The turn card was the . Avi led for 2,000 and was raised to 5,000 by Ghavam. Avi made the call. The river was the . Avi checked and Ghavam sent a message with a bet of 15,000. It was a language Avi understood and he folded.
Evagoras Evagoru opened for 1,300 was called by Bans Topkay and then raised by Malek Nasr to 3,800. It wasn’t enough to get rid of either of them however as the called and we saw a flop of . It was checked to Nasr who continued for 5,500. Evagoru got out of the way but Topkay wanted to play.
The turn brought the . Same check from Topkay and Nasr continued for a hefty bet of 11,000, leaving just 10,500 behind. Topkay called after some thought. The river was the . Topkay checked and Nasr thought better of pulling the trigger, checking behind. Topkay had winning the pot when his opponent mucked.
Bernard Latouf who played yesterday is back again for a second crack. He opened to 1,200 preflop before Ara Melkisetian made it 2,700 from the button. Latouf called to see a flop and both players checked.
The turn was the and Latouf check-called a bet of 2,900 from Melkisetian to see a third on the river. Latouf checked a final time and Melkisetian now bet 6,300 - this time it was enough to get Latouf to fold.
"You're writing about me?" said Melkisetian to us. "Just put in fish...tuna fish." He then thought for a second. "Actually, don't do that."
So we are not going to call Ara Melkisetian a fish.

A new player has joined Kara Scott’s table, Asaf Avci, and he has a mountain of chips. He is sitting to the left of Max Droege who told a PokerNews reporter, “He’s just crushing. He hasn’t lost a pot since he sat down. Whenever he has a marginal hand it’s good. Top pair, whatever." Also at the table, as we lose more players and merge tables, is cool customer Seyed Ghavam.
Tough table.
