Yanpolskiy Survives

When Natalya Nikitina raised from the small blind to 10,000 Boris Yanpolskiy in the big blind threw in his last 19,000 with a shrug and Nikitina called. Yanpolskiy turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} against Nikitina’s {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. He got lucky though on a board {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and survived.

Rybin Hits a Million

Alexander Sidorin is out in 30th place, he'd bet the flop and turn of a {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} board before checking with about 110,000 behind on the {Q-Diamonds} river. Alexey Rybin was the chip leader and the man who set Sidorin all in at the end. Sidorin thought for a while before calling with {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} but Rybin had been holding {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top pair that made a flush on the river.

29 players remain.

Droege Drags a Pot

Maximilian Droege

Alexandr Lakhov opened the betting for 10,000 and faced a raise, from Mak Droege on the button, to 22,000. The blinds folded and action was back on Lakhov. “How much you playing.” He demanded gruffly. “One sixty.” Droege answered. Lakhov made the call. {5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} was the flop. Lakhov checked and Droege bet 20,000. Quick call from Lakhov who then checked in the dark. {4-Clubs} on the turn. Droege checked behind.

The river card was the {a-Diamonds}. Lakhov checked and Droege sat very still, glancing once or twice at Lakhov who had his sunglasses perched on his forehead. Droege reached for chips and quickly bet 25,000. Lakhov mucked his cards saying to Torbey “I had a hand, I’m not bluffing all the time like you.”

Torbey Doubles Through Yamin

Jacoues Torbey had pushed all in preflop for about 100,000 over the top of a late position raise from Kfir Yamin. Yamin didn't look too enthused but after a minute he opted to slide in a full stack of blues,making the call.

Torbey: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Yamin: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The board didn't offer Yamin any hope, let alone help, it came {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{K-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

Torbey said, "You take chips off me, I get them back off you."

Taking the Fun Out of Fundaro

Giacomo Fundaro was all in preflop and in good shape with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} dominating Andrei Nikonov's {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} but the board ran out {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and the Russian broke into a wry smile as Fundaro was forced to chop the pot. It's a brutal one to take for the Italian, who is one of the short stacks at the moment and with 30 players could well be on the precipice of bubbling this tournament.

Shevchuk Busts Early

Mikhail Shevchuk was one of the short stacks coming back today but his dream is over after he was all in preflop with {J-Spades}{10-Spades} against Tobias Peters' {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Peters' hand was dominating and it only got worse for Shevchuk when the board came {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} to make the Dutch player a flush.

Topkaya Has It

On a board of {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Giacomo Fundaro bet 22,500 and Baris Topkaya made the call. The river card was the {7-Spades} and when Fundaro checked, Topkaya bet 77,000. Fundaro said, “I guess you have it.” but made the call. He did have it. {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. A frustrated Fundaro showed {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Feeling Flush

Bernard Samaha bet 16,000 on a board of {9-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}. Jacoues Torbey folded but Alexandr Lakhov made the call. [2] on the turn, Samaha continued for 20,000 and again Lakhov called. They both checked the {8-Diamonds} river and Samha shoved the {6-Spades}{7-Spades} for the flopped flush to take the pot.

Yamin Wins Again

It's another big pot for Kfir Yamin whose {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} triumphed over Azaz Jabrayilov's {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} on a {9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board after the latter check-called the flop and turn before bluffing on the river in a 200,000 chip pot.

Yamin has been the big mover in the first 15 minutes here today.
