Sayegh Alive

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Pierre Sayegh is hanging in there. Kayan Tugrul bet 50,000 and was min raised to 100,000 by Sayegh. The blinds folded and Tugrul called the extra with a sigh. The flop came {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Tugrul checked and Sayegh pulled the trigger. “All in.” he said and Tugrul threw his cards in the muck.

Everybody Loves a Chopped Pot

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Albert Daher opened under the gun and was raised by Alexey Rybin in the cut-off. The blinds folded but Daher called and they saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Daher checked and Rybin bet 75,000. Daher called the bet and the dealer put out the {k-Spades} on the turn. Once more Daher checked and again Rybin bet, sliding two stacks of darck blue chips over the line, 200,000. Daher made the call. The river was the {q-Diamonds}. Both players checked this time. Daher showed {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for the flopped straight. Rybin slowly turned over {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Daher didn’t look particularly impressed. Chop it up.

At both ends of the table there were discussion about who played it better and what they would have done on a different river card.

Yamin Not Giving Up

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Alexey Rybin raised to 35,000 from the button and Kfir Yamin flat-called in the small blind. The flop came {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Yamin led out for 45,000, Rybin quickly folded and flashed what looked to be an ace. Yamin showd him {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Cheeky.

Tugrul Doubles Through Yamin

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Kayhan Tugrul
Kayhan Tugrul

Kayhan Tugrul raised to 32,000 from the cutoff and after Kfir Yamin got a count on the Turkish player's stack, the latter announced all in.

Tugrul muttered something about tens and then made the call.

Tugrul: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Yamin: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board came {4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Tugrul doubled back up. Poor old Kfir Yamin is suffering a lot of swings at this table!

TAGs and LAGs

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We haven’t had any dramatic clashes in the last half hour or so but two of the most active players have been Andrei Nikonov and Albert Daher. They are frequently opening pots from early position and following up with aggression on the flop where they can to consistently chip up. Not far behind them in the aggression stakles are Sergey Rybachenko and Alexey Rybin.

Two of the least active players at the table so far did get into a hand together. Kfir Yamin opened under the gun for 24,000 and Max Droege, on the button, moved all in. The blinds folded and Yamin had a deep think. It didn’t seem likely that he was opening light. Now he had to think if Droege was using his own image to get a shove through the short stack. Yamin decided to ask Droege a question: “You wanna go back to Canada or what?” Droege shrugged, “I’m playing so bad I’m angry with myself.” Yamin decided to fold and Drogge told the table, “I needed a call.”
