Pat Atchison Doubles Through Nick Schulman

Nick Schulman raised preflop, and Pat Atchison moved all in for 84,000 more. Schulman stopped to consider the situation for a few minutes before calling with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Atchison showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, and it was a race situation.

The board came {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, and Atchison paired his queen on the turn to win the pot and double up to about 200,000 in chips. Schulman was knocked down to about 190,000.

Chad Brown Folds a Full House

In the last hand before the dinner break, David Pham was under the gun and heads up against Vasile Buboi in the small blind, and some preflop action forced Chad Brown out of the pot in the big blind.

There was unknown action on the flop of {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. The turn card was the {J-Hearts}, Buboi bet 20,000, Pham raised to 40,000, and Buboi folded. Pham took the pot.

Chad Brown, who had stayed around to watch the final hand, told Pham that he had folded K-9 -- Brown would have flopped a full house. Another player asked Pham to show his hand, hoping to see {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the straight flush, but Pham mucked his cards.

Tom Macey Making Moves

Tom Macey was on life support with around 10,000 in chips -- barely enough for three big blinds. He doubled up against Roland Isra then picked up plenty of blinds and antes with several uncontested preflop raises. He's now up to 42,000.
