Keep Diggin', Watson

Level 17 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Spencer Hudson was moved to Table 5 a few minutes ago, but he is currently absent and so too are his chips. Andrew Watson on the other hand champions a 400,000-chip stack and if we link the two occurrences together we can assume he eliminated Hudson from the tournament.

Cheung Records a KO

Level 17 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Jennie Khan moved all in for her last 13,000 from under the gun and Robert Cheung isolated by re-raising to 23,000 on her direct left. Everyone else got out of the way and the hands were turned face up.

Khan: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Cheung: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board ran {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Khan was forced to hit the rail. Cheung raked in the pot, which pushed his stack to 195,000 chips.

Schwertley Doubles Then Busts

Level 17 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Brett Schwertley was all in for about 32,000 with {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, facing Jeff Gibralter's {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Schwertley found no help from the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop or {8-Spades} turn, but the {K-Hearts} hit the river as Schwertley spiked the three-outer river to double to about 72,000.

Unfortunately, the World Series of Poker Circuit national points leader couldn't parlay the double into a heater and busted soon after.

Hudson Off To Fast Start

Level 17 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Greg Franklin opened to 8,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Spencer "Tex" Hudson who three-bet to 23,000 from middle position. Franklin quickly called.

The flop fell {3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Franklin led for 15,000. Hudson moved all in and Franklin tank-folded.

"I think you had a big pocket pair," said Franklin.

Hudson didn't respond, rather he simply stacked his new chips and now has nearly 200,000 in total.

Welcome to Day 2!

Day 2 of the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event here at Choctaw is on the horizon. Yesterday 808 players packed themsleves into three separate locations. As the day progressed three locations became one and the field whittled all the way down to 175 runners.

Lyle Glover is one of our leaders with 256,400 chips and there are a plethora of notables still remaining including TJ Cloutier, Berry Johnston, Dan Makowsky, Ruth Hall and WSOP-C national points leader Brett Schwertley.

We're scheduled to start at noon local time and play until we reach a final table or 1:30-2:00 a.m. All levels are 60 minutes today with a break after every two levels and dinner after six.

We apologize in advance for any delay while updating. The Internet has been a bit spotty and some updates are being done via smart phones - including this one.

Make sure you keep it locked right here however, the action on Day 2 is just around the corner and we'll be doing our best to keep you posted throughout the day.
