Day 2 Completed
After over 13 hours of play, Day 2 of the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event here at Choctaw is down to 14 players.
Neal Seiwert is our chip leader with 1.92 million chips. He ascended to the top of the charts near the end of the day after bouncing back from a cooler against Drazen Ilich. Seiwert ran queens into Ilich's aces, but never gave up and now leads the pack entering Day 3. Biting at his heels are Shallum Lynch (1.8 million), Andrew Watson (1.62 million) and Jeff Gibralter (1.53 million). They too built stacks before the dinner break and are prepared to wield them tomorrow.
Traci Brown is the last woman standing with 585,000 chips. She wasn't the only female to go deep in this event however, Ruth "Ruthless" Hall, Ashley Cox and TJ Cloutier's daughter Elizabeth Hymel all cashed. Hymel ran a bluff against Watson with just king-high and Watson picked it off with a pair of sixes. Hymel failed to hit a three-outer on the river and was eliminated from the tournament.
Cloutier and fellow Hall of Famer Berry Johnston also cashed. Johnston was battling especially hard until he too was eliminated by Watson. It was a race between Johnston's and Watson's . The board ran and Johnston hit the rail.
Other notables who cashed include Lyle Glover, Gus Voelzel and Richard Lee who shared the bubble with three other players.
Lance Freeman was crippled by the sickest hand of the day. At 15,000/30,000/4,000 Joe Bui limped in from late position and Ilich limped behind. Freeman raised to 100,000 from the big blind and Bui back-re-raised to 200,000. Ilich got out of the way, Freeman moved all in for a little less than 500,000 and Bui called. Bui was light-years behind with against Freeman's , but the flop fell giving Bui two-pair. He retained the lead after the turn and river bricked , respectively, leaving Freeman with just 16,000 chips. He busted in 17th place soon after.

Ali Jafari moved all in blind for 55,000 from under the gun and the action folded all the way to Neal Seiwert who called in the big blind.
Jafari:
Seiwert:
The flop was clean, but the on the turn gave Seiwert a leading pair of threes. The on the river was a blank, and Jafari was eliminated in 15th place.
Seiwert chipped up to 1.6 million,
Val Wood was all in for his tournament life with and ran into the of Basil Lombardo.
The board ran and Wood was eliminated in 16th place while Lombardo is up to 980,000 chips.
According to Neal Seiwert, Joe Bui limped from the cutoff, Drazen Ilich limped behind on the button and Lance Freeman raised to 100,000 from the big blind. Bui raised to 200,000, Ilich gave it up, Freeman moved all in and Bui snapped it off.
Freeman:
Bui:,
Bui's quick call was mind-boggling, but not as mind-boggling as the flop, which gave him the lead. The on turn and the on the river kept Bui's two pair as the winner, increasing his stack to about 1,100,000.
Freeman was left with just 16,000 and the very next hand it went all in with the blinds and antes. Charles "Woody" Moore raised to 110,000 from early position and Victor Haynes called in the big blind. The flop fell and Haynes checked to Moore who continued for 150,000. Haynes folded and it was showdown time.
Moore:
Freeman:
The on the turn left the door open a little longer for Freeman, but the on the river slammed it shut.
After a sick beat, Freeman was eliminated in 17th place for $11,833.
Billie Pagne went all in from the hijack for about 300,000 and Huy Nguyen isolated from the small blind with a re-shove.
