Olton, Texas native Ashley Cox open-shoved for 144,000 from middle position and Andrew Watson called out of the big blind.
Cox's was crushed by Watson's , but the flop gave Cox a leading pair of fives. The on the turn gave Watson the lead again however and the on the river gave him a flush for fun.
Cox hit the rail while Watson is now up to 1.6 million chips.
There was another bustout during this hand, and we are now down to 27 players. Those remaining are now on a brief break to redraw.
An opponent opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and Shallum Lynch three-bet from the big blind. His opponent called.
Both players checked the flop, and after the turned Lynch led for 250,000. His opponent moved all in and Lynch quickly called.
Lynch:
Opponent:
Lynch needed to dodge an ace or and eight and did so when the hit the river. He is now up to an impressive 1.24 million chips.
Daniel Aldridge open-shoved his last 200,000 and the action folded all the way to Val Wood in the big blind.
"Oh s#&*," he announced.
Wood tanked for a very long time before eventually calling. Aldridge tabled and Wood opened up a pair of jacks. We missed the board due to a hand at an adjacent table, but the jacks held and Aldridge was eliminated.
Joe Bui opened to 56,000 from early position and Robert Cheung called near the button. Lance Freeman three-bet to 150,000 from the big blind, Bui moved all in for 275,000, Cheung angrily folded and Freeman called.
Bui:
Freeman:
The flop didn't pair Freeman, but it gave him straight outs, backdoor flush outs and if a king paired the board Bui would be counterfeited. The on the turn was a brick however and so too was the on the river.
Bui doubled to 560,000 chips while Freeman dropped to around 700,000.
Neal Seiwert raised to 45,000 from the hijack and next to act, Daniel Aldridge popped it to 95,000. Action folded back to Seiwert and he shoved for an additional 291,000. After a few moments Aldridge called.
Seiwert:
Aldridge:
The board ran out , safe for Seiwert.
Seiwert: Up to roughly 790,000
Alrdige: Dropped to about 200,000
Lance Freeman opened to 45,000 from middle position and Tim Kohls re-raised near the button. Kohl put out less than a true raise however, so he was forced to put out a min-raise to 70,000. Freeman opted to move all in and Kohls called.
Freeman:
Kohls:
The flop was clean, but the turn was the giving Freeman three more outs to a straight. Any ace or five would now give him the winning hand.
The spiked on the river, and the entire table erupted in surprise except Kohls. He thought he had won the hand, and only when the dealer was pulling his stacks away from him did he realize he was eliminated.
While Kohls slowly left the table, Freeman stacked his chips and now has almost 1 million.
