Mother Fruchter

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
David Fruchter, 28th place
David Fruchter, 28th place

David Fruchter was all in for his last couple of thousand with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} against Brian Ali's {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Ali held when the board ran {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Fruchter was eliminated from the tournament.

Puddiga Binks a Double

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Pratyusm Puddiga on the button who jammed for 83,000. Patrick Houchins snap-called from the small blind and the big blind released.

Showdown
Puddiga: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Houchins: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop game Puddiga a gut-shot straight draw and a backdoor flush draw to go with his outs to a nine. The {5-Hearts} on the turn kept the heart draw alive and the {9-Hearts} on the river completed it.

Puddiga doubled to 170,000 chips while Houchins is still healthy with 700,000.

Lippert Leaps Up; Smith Out

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Adam Lippert is on a bit of heater.

First he doubled through Alex Smith, his {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} surviving against Smith's {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Soon after that hand, Smith was all in before the flop for his last 57,000, and Lippert flat-called from late position. It folded around to Mukul Pahuja in the big blind who reraised all in, and Lippert snap-called.

Pahuja had {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, Smith {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, and Lippert {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The flop was good for Lippert {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, and the turn -- the {9-Diamonds} -- even better, giving him an unbeatable full house.

Smith is out in 30th, Pahuja is down to 210,000, and Lippert now way up above 600,000.

Houchins and Kosowski Battling

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We just had a near-massive skirmish between a couple of chip leaders, Patrick Houchins and Mike Kosowski.

The pair had built a sizable pot before the flop came {Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, prompting an all-in announcement from Houchins. Kosowski thought about 15 seconds before letting his {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} go face up, and Houchins showed his {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

"Would you have shipped it if I'd checked?" asked Houchins. Kosowski indicated it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. Houchins is up to 680,000 now, with Kosowski still at 560,000.
