Game On! Day 2 Awaits

Welcome back to Caesars Atlantic City for Day 2 of the 2011 WSOP Circuit Main Event!

The hotel and casino where we are located is on Pacific Avenue, one of the many Atlantic City street names used in the U.S. version of the popular board game Monopoly. You could say the game we're playing resembles Monopoly in certain ways.

Play goes in a clockwise direction. The object is similar, too, namely, to bankrupt your opponents and become the richest player left standing. With just 81 players left, we're closing in fast on the money bubble, with the top 45 finishers due to get paid. In other words, it'll be something like "Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200" -- or any dollars at all -- for 36 of those coming back to rejoin the game today.

Meanwhile, those who do cash will be guaranteeing themselves at least a $2,861 payday. Of course, all will continue to work on building those stacks of chips -- like so many houses and hotels -- in the hopes of increasing their bankrolls even further.

Frank Argano currently enjoys the chip lead as the only player with more than 300,000, but several players are edging closer. And as we all know, things can change quickly with the turn of a single (Chance) card.

The game restarts at noon. See you then!
