A Tweet From the Brat, Jr.

From Twitter, we find some potentially interesting news:

@Phil_Hellmuth: Heading to Harrahs-Rincon Casino, east of San Diego, to interview Dale Earnhardt Jr. for "Versus" show (WSOP Circuit Event). Should be fun!!

From that, we'll infer that Hellmuth may play our Main Event today, and we might even see the other "Junior" take to the felt as well. Earlier this month, Earnhardt Jr. held a charity poker event at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, and we think there's a fighting chance that he may have been bitten by the tournament bug.

We'll have to wait and see if one or both of the Juniors make it into our field today.

Welcome to the Harrah's Rincon WSOP-C Main Event!

Welcome to Rincon for the 2010-2011 World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event! We're just over an hour away from start time for the three-day $1,600 Main Event and expectations are high for another great stop. Everything this year has been amazing on the Circuit. Since it was revamped, the Circuit is back on the map as one of the premier poker tours in the United States, drawing hundreds and thousands of players to events at every stop and stoking the fire inside the poker community.

It may be a little chilly in Rincon at the moment, but that just means there no better time to spend a day indoors on the felt. Last year, Bryan Devonshire won this event for $114,975. He bested 70 players in the $5,150 Main Event. The field size will undoubtably grow this year as all the buy-ins have decreased to $1,600 in order to stimulate the tour. It's worked and there should be another amazing turnout here today.

Although we don't know everyone's that is playing just yet, we do know of one special person in the field for this Main Event. PokerNews' own video hostess and producer Kristy Arnett is playing today. Whether or not she'll be rocking her silver MiniFTOPS jersey has yet to be seen, but we'll be keeping an eye on her and tracking her progress all day.

Play for Day 1 kicks off at 12:00 PM local time and we can't wait to get things started. Stay tuned for all of the action, live and in color as only PokerNews can bring it to you!
