Kevin Jonna only bagged up 37,400 last night. He still hasn't shown up yet for Day 2 and has been blinded down to about 31,000 in chips here in the first 15 minutes of Level 17. With only 10 big blinds, it doesn't help him not being here.
From under the gun, Andrew Moreno raised to 6,100. Eddy Sabat three-bet from the hijack seat to 11,000. Vinnie Engen called all in for 5,300 from the button and action folded back to Moreno, the original preflop raiser. He thought for a bit and then moved all in for about 66,000 or so. Sabat, with 68,900 behind, tanked and then folded.

to give Engen the win on the river and triple him up and then some. He's back to over 20,000 while Moreno didn't lose too much and is sitting with over 60,000.
Marty Wong raised from under the gun to 12,000, four times the big blind, and action folded to Hayden Fortini in middle position. He reraised to 32,000. When play got back over to Wong, he moved all in for 52,000. Fortini made the call.

John Coon, Sean Riley, Chris Ruby, Alex Maturi, Alex Masek and Justin Kruger all have a chance to catch Mstr Lynch and take over the lead depending on how they finish in this Main Event. The winner will automatically receive an entry to the $1,000,000 National Championship Freeroll.

If any of these six make the final table, Lynch is surely going to have a sweat if he wants to get that seat in the National Championship. It's going to be an interesting day of play with this also on the line, putting some added pressure on these players.
In just less than an hour, our final 36 players will come streaming into the Pavilion to be reunited with their chip stacks. Day 2 of this WSOP-C Main Event is slated for a noon start on what figures to be a relatively short day of card playing.
A total of 188 players took to the felt yesterday, and they were whittled down to just four tables by night's end. Among the notables who've already come and gone are a couple of former WSOP champs (Jerry Yang and Phil Hellmuth), a former November Niner (Dennis Phillips), an alleged cheater (Josh Field), a mindset coach (Sam Chauhan), a chainsaw (Allen Kessler), a Pilgrim (Dwyte), and a Doug Lee. Our own Kristy Arnett also played this Main, but she was unmercifully run out of the room during the middle stages of Day 1.
But it's not a total loss for our PokerNews family. Arnett's fiancé Andrew Moreno is still alive and kicking with a stack of 67,000 chips, and our former Live Reporting Manager Garry Gates has a half-average stack with which to mount a run as well. Our pals Andrew and Garry will be sharing the felt with the likes of Ryan Tepen, Donna Jetter, Jason Wheeler, and Eddy Sabat today. Everyone's chasing Seneca Easley, though, the chip daddy with an impressive 329,000 technicolor chips in his bag.
Fifteen players will go home empty-handed today, while the final 21 survivors will all be guaranteed a payday of some sort upon their exit. Once the bubble bursts, it's a straight shot on down to the final table of nine, a goal we'd expect to take six or seven levels.
Cards will be in the air promptly at noon today, so don't wander off. Day 2 is coming up!
