Today is Day 3, the second-to-last day of the West Regional Championship. From our starting field of 98 players, just 18 are left here to duke it out for a spot at the final table.

It's Kwinsee Tran with the big stack, but his lead is by no means secure. There are sharks in the water below him, including the second-place stack of Dwyte Pilgrim. Day 1 chip leader Ali Eslami is in third place, followed by recent tourney winner Tim "Tmay420" West. Also in the mix is Daniel Negreanu's middling stack, trailed by Kyle Bowker, Steve Brecher, Todd Terry, and Scott Montgomery.

Jesse Martin made it to this Day 3 as well, but he's got some work to do. Martin begins this penultimate day with the short stack of 18,500.
