Break Time

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

With Level 3 down, the players will be taking their first break of the day. From what we've been told, the players will be breaking for 30 minutes after every three levels, with the dinner break falling close to 7 PM.

Who Dat?

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

As is often the case, we've noticed a few more notables hidden among the ocean of tables. Matt Kirby, Jake Toole, Kyle Cartwright, and Shiva Dudani are some of the young guns we've recently spotted. The room is gigantic, so we're sure there are still a few familiar faces in the field we've yet to locate.

Verrett Doubles with a Flush

A woman raised to 350 from middle position and received only one caller, Steve Verrett on the button. When the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}, the woman fired out 500, Verrett called, and the dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts}. The MP player again bet 500, but this time Verrett raised to 1,200. The woman called, and then proceeded to check the {K-Diamonds} river.

Verrett took the opportunity to bet 3,100, only to have the woman throw out two T5,000 chips for a bet of 10,000. "Call," said Verrett, who only had 9,225, "Flush." He then tabled {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, which prompted his opponent to simply muck. Verrett is up to 23,000.

Dwyte Pilgrim and three other opponents went to a flop of {6-Spades} {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs}. Action checked around and the turn came {8-Spades}. Again, action checked around and the river came {Q-Diamonds}. Action checked around to the player in the cutoff and he bet 1,300. Action folded around back to Pilgrim and after rechecking his cards he folded as well. Pilgrim is still right around the starting stack.

Liebert Socializing

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Every time we wander by Kathy Liebert's table, we noticed she is conversing with her table mates and seems to just be having a genuinely good time. In a recent hand, Liebert raised to 200 from early position and found three callers. When the flop fell {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, the big blind checked to Liebert, who put out a continuation bet of 600. The rest of the field got out of the way Liebert took down the small pot uncontested.
