Enter Cajelais

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Erik Cajelais has recently arrived, but is below starting stack. He was heads up with an opponent who checked with the board reading {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, and Cajelais bet 2,000. His opponent called.

The river was the {6-Diamonds}, and both players checked. Cajelais' opponent turned over {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and the Montreal native mucked his hand.

Keikoan Hits Turn & River

Matt Keikoan opened for 500 in late position and only the small blind called. The flop came {A-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}, the small blind checked and Keikoan bet 600. The small blind called and the turn came {10-Diamonds}. Both players checked to see a free river card that fell {Q-Hearts}. The small blind bet 1,100 and Keikoan raised to 3,500. His opponent called after some thought and Keikoan tabled {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} for two pair - courtesy of the turn and river. HIs opponent mucked and tapped the table.

Kerstetter Trending Down

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Jamie Kerstetter, who has had phenomenal results here at Harrah's AC (she final tabled two events, including a 6th place finish today in the $1K), is off to a slow start in the Main Event. In a recent hand, she saw the flop with six other players including James Boyle, Chad Brown, and Dave Inselberg. A player fired 700 with the board reading {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, and only Kerstetter called.

The turn was the {q-Spades}, both players checked, and the river was the {4-Clubs}. Kerstetter called 2,000 from her opponent, who turned over {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of queens. Kerstetter mucked, dropping down to 14,000 chips.

Oh, What a Night

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

As the players are returning back from break, some are whistling, others are nodding their heads, and a select few are even singing. Just below the ballroom here at Harrah's there's a bar blasting "Oh What a Night" by Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons - the group featured in the hit broadway musical Jersey Boys. We're not sure if it's state pride, but the players are digging the soundtrack.

For now.
