Reyes Doubles

Luis Reyes was able to get all of his 85,000 in against this opponent preflop. He held {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} against the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The board ran out {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Reyes doubled while he left his opponent crippled.

Wrigley Chews Up Ashby

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Len Ashby opened for 11,000 from middle position and Dwight Wrigley called from the small blind. Both players checked the {4-Hearts} {K-Spades} {A-Spades} flop and the {2-Hearts} came on the turn. Wrigley moved all in after a long thought and Ashby called relatively quickly.

Wrigley: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}
Ashby: {A-Hearts} {3-Clubs}

The river didn't help either player when it fell {6-Diamonds} and Wrigley moved up to around 70,000. Ashby slipped down to 35,000.

Cronin Making a Move

Tommy Cronin has already made two final tables at this Circuit Series alone. After a recent hand, he now seems in fantastic shape to make a third in the Main Event.

We picked up the action on the {8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop and a player having check-raised all in for 62,500 more. With the pot at about 50,000, John Nguyen reluctantly folded his hand passing the action to Cronin. After a long tank, he made the call.

Cronin: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and the river was the {9-Spades}. Both gave Cronin a winning strait.

Gutsy Call On a Scary Board

A player from under the gun opened for 6,500 and action folded around to Ken Ware in the small blind. Ware raised 20,000 more from the small blind and the UTG player called. The flop came {9-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn brought the {10-Spades}, Ware checked and the UTG player moved all in for around 25,000.

Ware took a long moment, shuffling his chips, and called with a resigned look on his face -- tabling {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades}. The UTG player told him he was good before he saw the queens and turned over {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts}. The river blanked coming {6-Diamonds} and Ware's queens held.

Parrish Doubles Up Reyes

After a player in middle position raised to 11,500, Luis Reyes three-bet to 36,500. Jennifer Parrish was waiting in the big blind and moved all in for less. The original raiser folded and it was Reyes trying to knock out Parrish.

Reyes: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Parrish: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} was ominous for Parrish. However, the {9-Clubs} turn kept her in the lead and the {8-Diamonds} finished her there.

Lee Rivers An Ace

Bernard Lee raised preflop to 7,500 and was called by only the player to his left. The flop was {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Lee check-called a bet worth 8,500.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and this time Lee decided to lead for 11,500. His opponent called. The river was the {a-Hearts} and both players checked. Lee tabled {a-Spades}{6-Clubs} and his opponent could only show {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Lee raked in the pot and has been building momentum since the last break.

Geise Knocks One Out

In middle position, a player moved all in for his last 39,000. Action folded around to Nate Geise in the big blind and he quickly made the call.

Geise: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The board was a clean {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Geise successfully eliminated his fellow competitor.

Yeager Trending Downward

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Bangalore Subbarao opened for 12,000 from middle position and Brian Yeager reraised from the button to 26,000. Subbarao called and the flop fell {8-Spades} {9-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. Both players checked to see the {10-Hearts} come on the turn. Subbarao bet 25,000 and Yeager called. The river fell {5-Hearts} and Subbarao wasted no time moving all in.

Yeager had a pained look on his face and folded after a few moments of though. Losing 50,000 affected him as he counted his big chips and is down to around 115,000.
