Don't Leave Too Fast Mr. Weber

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

The flop came {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {K-Diamonds} and the turn was {4-Hearts}. It was at that point Weber stood up from the table to leave when the river came {10-Spades}. He sat back down after spiking Broadway has 32,000 to keep him alive.

Dennis Eliminated by Burgeron

Harold Dennis limped in from middle position, the small blind called and Craig Burgeron checked his option out of the big blind.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and the first two players checked to Dennis who bet 7,000. The player in the small blind folded but Burgeron threw out 50,000 in chips, enough to put Dennis all in. After a lengthy debate, Dennis decided to make the call tabling {6-Spades}{3-Spades}.

"Two pair?! ... I thought I was way ahead," Burgeron said. No matter though. The turn was the {5-Hearts}, counterfeiting Dennis' two pair. The river {k-Spades} kept Burgeron in the lead and Dennis was eliminated.

Reyes Wins Some More

Luis Reyes raised to 6,500, first to act. A woman called him from the hijack position before the player in the big blind moved all in for 22,800. Reyes thought a bit before raising enough to put his opponent behind him all in. She folded and Reyes took a shot solo to eliminate a competitor.

Reyes: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The flop was {3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs} which all but ended things. The {3-Spades} turn made it official and the {5-Spades} was dealt on the meaningless river.

Pfeifer Lets a Big Pot Go

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Dale Robinson was in early position and opened for 5,600. Randy Pfeifer called from late position and the big blind came along as well. The flop fell {Q-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}, the big blind checked, Robinson checked and Pfeifer bet 11,800. The big blind got out of the way and Robinson called.

The turn came {Q-Diamonds}, Robinson checked a second time and Pfeifer bet 19,200. Robinson check-raised to 40,500, which sent alarms off in Pfeifer's head. "Do you have ace-queen?" he wondered aloud. He counted out some raising chips and stewed a little more.

Pfeifer folded his hand and Robinson chipped up to over six-figures.

Bazely Hits His Ace

Facing a raise to 5,300 and a call, Jacob Bazely moved all in for 34,600 from the small blind. The initial raiser made the call while the third player got out of the way.

Bazely: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The flop was {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Bazely took control. The turn was the {4-Spades}, leaving his opponent drawing to just one out. The {9-Spades} river was a blank and Bazely is back up to over the average stack.

Cole Busts Two

A player in early position opened the pot with a raise to 5,300 and was called by two players in middle position and the player in the big blind.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and the player first to act moved all in for just 1,400. The preflop raiser was next to act and moved all in over the top for about 35,000. The next player folded while Bob Cole made the call having his opponent just barely covered.

Cole held {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} while his nearly even-stacked opponent had {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The third player with a short stack had {5-}{9-}. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and and the river was the {2-Spades}. Cole was able to avoid his opponent filling up with a boat and he successfully busted two players in one hand.

Pegasus Gets His Wings Clipped

Mark "Pegasus" Smith and Luis Reyes built a 20,000 pot by the time the flop was {J-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {3-Spades}. Smith had bet and Reyes moved all in. Smith called and tabled {K-Spades} {J-Spades} for a flopped two-pair and Reyes had pocket aces.

The turn gave Reyes the lead when the board paired with the {3-Clubs}. Smith needed another king or jack to retake the lead, but blanked when the river fell {10-Spades}.

Reyes moved to among the chipleaders while Smith was able to keep his stack around average.
