A short-stacked player moved all in for just 1,500 with and was called by the of Maurice Hawkins. The flop have Hawkins a hammerlock on the hand, while the turn and river ensured the win. The tournament director just informed us that the WSOP Circuit Harrah's Main Event has draw 694 players, crushing last year's field of 380. What's more, it has created a $1,009,070 prize pool! Over at Table 73, Jesse Cohen got his short stack all in preflop with and was racing against the of Robert Paddock. Cohen seemed content to be in a race situation, but his contentment dwindled when the flop came down and gave his opponent a set. Neither the turn nor river changed a thing, and Cohen was eliminated from the Main Event.
Likewise, James Mordue has been eliminated from Table 73.
Action folded to a short-stacked Huy Nguyen on the button and he moved all in for his last 7,300. Chris Savage, one of our chip leaders here on Day 2, was in the small blind and made the call. David Weinstein was in the big blind and opted to move all in over the top for 13,200 more, and Savage made a reluctant call to put both his opponents at risk.
