Blunt and Palacios KO'd

Can anyone slow this guy down?
Can anyone slow this guy down?

Kurt Jewell continues to steamroll his table and just eliminated Steven Blunt. The board showed {2-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {9-Hearts} when the money went in. Jewell tabled pocket queens and Blunt had {7-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} for a double gutshot straight draw. The river came {10-Diamonds} and Blunt was eliminated.

Marco Palacios was also eliminated in unknown action. He finished 5th in this event last year.

Jewell's Train Keeps Rolling

Kristen Deardorff was the last woman standing.
Kristen Deardorff was the last woman standing.

We missed the action on the hand when a big hand developed at another table. But the long and short of it is that Kristen Deardorff was eliminated by Kurt Jewell.

It seems that Jewell can do no wrong since returning from dinner and continues to pull away from the field.

Mull vs. Blunt

On a board reading {9-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Steven Blunt bet 60,000 from the big blind and was called by Frank Mull in the under-the-gun position. When the {A-Spades} appeared on the river, Blunt fired out 110,000 and Mull wasted little time in making the call.

"Good call," Blunit admitted and watched as Mull rolled over {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Good call indeed.

Luce Ousted by Blakeman

Dan Blakeman started the action with an opening raise and Tom Luce moved all in behind him. Action folded around back to Blakeman and he called.

Blakeman: {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}
Luce: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}

The board ran {2-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} and Luce's big slick couldn't top Blakeman's flopped set.

Bradbury Busted

We're not sure how it happened as we were getting chip counts at the time, but a short-stacked Chad Bradbury has been eliminated from the Main Event. He was ousted in 27th place and will take home $5,846 for his efforts.

Down to 28

With the elimination of Lee Chandley in 30th place and Danny Nelson in 29th, only 28 players remain, which means after one more elimination there will be a redraw for the final three tables. At that time we will be getting chip counts for all the remaining players.
